Review of Longhorn Steakhouse As a part-time professional blogger – A Disappointing Dining Experience Date of Visit: April 06, 2025
My recent visit to Longhorn Steakhouse was deeply disappointing, primarily due to the unprofessional behavior of the bartender. While the establishment has some commendable aspects, the overall experience left me so uncomfortable that I couldn’t finish my meal and chose to leave without leaving a tip.
Key Issues: Rude and Condescending Attitude: The bartender was consistently rude and condescending, both in her interactions with me and with others on the phone. Her tone and demeanor were inappropriate and made the experience unpleasant.
Inappropriate Comments: She made inappropriate comments after phone calls and even interrupted my conversation with another guest. Her behavior was intrusive and unprofessional.
Rushed Service: I felt rushed throughout my meal. My appetizer and main course were served quickly, even before I had finished my wings. This lack of consideration for the dining pace was frustrating.
Unnecessary Behavior: Her actions, such as making comments about customers after taking their orders and acting immaturely, were unacceptable. It left me with the impression that she is not suited for a customer-facing role.
Final Decision to Leave: The combination of her behavior and the rushed service left me so uncomfortable that I couldn’t finish my meal or my beer. I paid the bill and walked out without leaving a tip, which is something I rarely do.
Positive Notes: Despite the bartender’s behavior, other staff members were professional and attentive. One employee even noticed my dissatisfaction and offered to remake my meal, which was a kind gesture.
Conclusion: While I appreciate the efforts of the other staff members, the bartender’s behavior was a major letdown. Her unprofessionalism and lack of courtesy significantly impacted my experience. I hope the management addresses this issue to ensure a better experience for future customers.
Rating: 2/5 Recommendation: The bartender should receive additional training on professionalism and customer service to avoid such incidents in...

Read moreLong story short; don't order Pittsburgh without talking to the chief griller first! Wasn't looking for Luger's or anything, just wanted a cheap steak dinner. Not a Denny's or Chili's shoe leather steak, but something marginally edible, cooked to my liking. My liking: Pittsburgh. Was delighted that our server recognized Pittsburgh as a cooking style. Was nervous when they then asked what temperature I'd like the inside, but I thought this might be a corporate policy thing they have to ask. More nervous when my reply of, "normal Pittsburgh; black and blue" was met with a blank stare. To which I assumed they were waiting for an actual temperature - in my mind, I'm thinking they have some hi-tech AI grill in the back that will pull as soon as the internal temp reaches 'foo', allowing for time to table and ambient temperatures in the kitchen to the hall and our particular table, to deliver the internal temp at exactly the temp ordered upon first knife cut. (Million dollar idea right here) No, she wanted to know if I wanted the internal to be well, med, or rare. I asked for rare, very rare. Pittsburgh, for those that don't know, is thusly named because it looks like hot steel coming off the roller mill; crusty on the outside and bright red on the inside. Better, untreated cuts often have a purple or blueish hue. Steak arrived, blackened and well done.
I try to make the best out of any situation and I've known too many unscrupulous and morally flexible kitchen workers over the years to ever send food back. The leftovers that I didn't eat out of pure dissatisfaction made for a pretty tasty omelet...
