Bamboo Bistro — Restaurant in Westbrook

I’ll start by saying I’m sure this place is great if you’re ordering takeout. As it stands, my fiancé and I went here after some holiday shopping in Westbrook, very hungry and ready for good, warm food. Upon entering, the lone waitress was quite friendly and told us to sit anywhere. We were one of four tables. The restaurant was very cold. It is my opinion that if you’re going to be open for dine-in, you have got to be a comfortable establishment for your patrons. I had fleece lined overpants and a long sleeve and vest on and still ended up shivering and huddled up to my fiancé. After the waitress bringing menus and not asking after beverages while I waited on my fiancé who’d gone to the restroom, and then waiting another, at least 15 minutes just to get drinks, we left. Then the most unique thing happened to us as we were flagged down across the parking lot by the waitress profusely apologizing and trying to say it wasn’t that she doesn’t pay attention as we were trying to get to our...

Love the food at Bamboo Bistro, but the customer service is going downhill! Maybe it's just a learning curve for the new waitress?! I have been left "on hold" for 10+ min one day- I completely understand that things get busy, but I am not sure that was the reason.. The second example, my family went in to eat and we were left sitting at our table for an additional 20 after we finished eating- and the table was cleared, waiting to get the check. We were one of two tables in the place- so again being busy wasn't the reason this happened. The last chance was earlier this week I ordered lunch to go and part of it was left out of the bag... and no utensils. I will give it a month and try them again, because the food it really good.

Welp I waited 4 weeks and went there for lunch, their service was outstanding, and their food was exactly the same- great! Please Bamboo Bistro...

Had to drop a coyple stars from my rating. We've eaten here at least a dozen times and finally had a bad experience. We went in and it was about 10 minutes before anyone came into the dining room to even greet us, we already had seen another potential patron leave from waiting. After we were acknowledged we were given menus water told specials and the waitress promptly went to the back room, we were already ready to order at least drinks, though we also knew what food we were going to order. After avout a ten minute wait alpne in the dining room, we gave up and left. Hopefully this will be thebobly bad experience we have, I dont think we will be chancong it...
