As a small business owner myself, I try and give places the benefit of doubt, but my experience here was completely unacceptable. I asked to speak to the manager only after being lied to numerous times....We were seated at a high top table which the table top was not secured correctly and rocked back and forth by at least an inch making keeping glasses from spilling very difficult. But being a busy Friday evening, we decided to just deal with it. We then ordered the Bang Bang Shimp, which came out in a short period of time, but they were burnt; very over cooked and over breaded. Though they were almost $17.00, we decided still not to complain and continued to wait for our dinners. After close to an hour and being told numerous times that our food would be right out, my girlfriend and son's hamburgers were brought out and the waiter says to me "You're fried Haddock will be right out, it takes a little longer to cook than there hamburgers..." and walks off. Since when does fish take longer to cook than a med-well hamburger!!! At this point, I requested to speak to the manager, who had zero reason why I had not received my food. I told him I no longer wanted it. Seeing me upset, my son would not eat his dinner. And then the manager's way of making it right was to take the soda from the one mix drink I had off the bill and the disgusting shrimp off my bill. So I paid $38.00 for my girlfriend's hamburger, a couple of fountain drinks, and one shot of Captain's. Absolute joke of a place. Maybe the tasteless terminology of their menu items points to a larger underlying issue with this...
Read moreThe place has great potential and the ambiance is fun (aside from cramped seating and nothing to absorb the noise of the clutter). So it’s loud and anyone with conversational trouble due to background noise will struggle here. Menu is large and busy, but strangely not many options. We had steak salad, steak sub, and Korean BBQ chicken sandwich with tots, and the Brussels sprouts app. Steak salad needs crunch, relies on cucumbers for that. But really a basic salad. Which is too bad. Steak sub with French fries was ok. Wouldn’t order again. Especially with how prolific steak bombs are at in the area. Brussels were prepared well, but relied too heavily on the dousing of pepper relish it came with; more sweet than “caliente”. Korean chicken was ok. Kim chee was weak, it was basically just a teriyaki chicken sandwich. The gochujang doesn’t really come out and the “Kim chee” is not much more than cole slaw. Chicken was prepared well and the breast was juicy and not overcooked.
Service was ok, and friendly. Ordered vodka/soda, received vodka/tonic. Drinks unimpressive for the price. Empty water glasses after initial glass.
Meal did not arrive together. Needs better paths for foot traffic. We were ran in to multiple times...
Read moreIve passed this restaurant a few times, and decided today for Mothers Day to finally try it, I really wish I hadnt. The restuarant was fairly empty, with tvs on full blast, and the food was subpar. I ordered the Thanksgiving turkey burger with sweet tots, everything was so salty and the burger just slide apart, I ended up wrapping ut in a napkin just to eat it My husband ordered the Crazy ex, and while the flavor on that was good, he found 2 pepper stems on it and was well done vs the medium he asked for, the table behind us also had issues with the cook of their burger The kids all ordered the mac n cheese, which personally, I think doing Kraft wouldve been better. My oldest didnt like it at all, so we ordered her some tenders insead, no fries since she ate those and just that was $10. Drinks also are not included in kids meals, so there was over $12 just in that. The one thing saving this night, was our waiter Jack. He was extremely polite, asked the bar to lower the tv a tiny bit for us, quickly cleaned a spill I made, apologized that the mac n cheese wasnt great (absolutely no fault of his), and wished me a happy mothers day all with a smile on his face. Certainly the type of waiter I wish more restuarants had.
Overall, not the greatest, but everyone has an off night, so maybe it was just that. I wouldnt bring kids again though, not worth the...
