Apparently the owner read Dylan's disc golf-related comment because when I walked in this morning to check out the disc selection he walked up and joked about their "tiny selection". But, in all, selection wasn't that bad. I mean, it's not Disc Golf Mart but who would expect it to be? I picked up two actual Innova discs that were branded "Play It Again" just because I thought it was kind of a cool novelty, even though I thought they were a little overpriced (maybe the extra few bucks covered custom branding, idk).
FYI - Owner mentioned he placed an order to arrive next week of about 120 or 150 discs. It's pretty cool an effort is being made since there's not many in-person places to shop the sport... Wal-Mart down Rt. 3 effectively liquidated their stock as of this morning (which was huge a month ago) so I think their pulling out of the game. Not sure why, it's not like discs have a shelf life. You could basically let them sit there collecting dust for however long until the inventory is bought out, then restock. Hope PIA gets more into this because I need more shop options for the sport!
FYI - The discs in the pic are (top) Innova Gstar Mystere and (below) Innova Vroc... both simply branded Play It Again. Thought that was cool, they had a couple other nice options. *Ownership -Don't go totally branded though. Some sure, but keep a handful of them stock moving forward. Thanks for expanding...
Read moreI came in the other day and spent a very good chunk of money on both baseball and soccer items. I’m not super familiar with bats since it’s my sons first season of baseball but I asked for help and showed the email ect. I purchased the drop 5 but the problem is it was a ussa not USA or the bbcor so it can’t be used. I tried to exchange it today but not having the receipt but the pnc bank receipt and was told They couldn’t do anything. He’s not even used it in a game ect since his first game is today. He then told me he could buy it back for $40 when I just paid $99 😂
I decided to keep the bat and also bought another because I didn’t have many options when I needed the correct bat for todays game.
When you have good customers come in and spend money I would recommend changing some of your policies. Not only that both times I’ve been there people are not that friendly. First time I came in with my boys one of which is 3 and I felt he wasn’t welcomed so I told my kids to stay with him so I could get the things and go. Today the guys just didn’t look like they wanted to be there and again not very friendly or flexible. I’ve got 4 boys and believe me we spend a lot on sports ect so coming in today and you guys not being welcoming or understanding was disappointing.
Also when I come in needing a specific bat and I’m not an expert that’s what you’re there for right? The whole...
Read moreI visited a store in Westerville to purchase ski equipment for my daughter, including ski boots and skis. Unfortunately, both pairs of ski boots turned out to be a bit too small, a detail we were unaware of at the time. The store didn't have sticks or helmets that fit her at the moment, so we acquired those items from a different store.
Upon realizing the sizing issue, I attempted to return the ski boots while keeping the skis and helmet. However, the store insisted on offering only store credit, despite initially stating a 7-day return policy without specifying this limitation.
Expressing my concern and highlighting the discrepancy between an honest customer and a business relying on fine print, I visited another store in Dublin (all these stores are individually owned). They not only educated my daughter about the purchase but also demonstrated care, professionalism, and integrity by cleaning and adjusting her skis and providing new boots. This positive experience contrasts with the previous one, emphasizing the importance of transparent and customer-centric practices.
The Westerville store lacks integrity. Although they may have had fine print, when I asked that day, they told me I could return within 7 days without mentioning the store...
