The ketchup is laced with microplastics because the plastic film lids to the bottles don't come off all the way (see the pic).
There's a sanitary issue in that the bathroom doors are only openable by a pull door handle from the inside. Why not add a foot handle, or better yet, make it pull to enter, push to leave? This is the 21st century.
There's also an accesibility issue in that the bathroom doors are too heavy. I could see young kids, the elderly, or other less abled people getting trapped in there.
The interior decor includes wastefully disposable plastic candles. I mean why not just use real ones? I also saw plastic cups being served to people in the sit-down areas, I mean come on really? So wasteful.
The exterior includes wonderful views of a barbed wire fence, a 5-lane stroad, and a too-big parking lot. No natural shade.
As for the service: was okay except someone else had to remind my server that I was in their assigned area.
The food: the veggie burger and fries I ordered were okay. The fries were too salty and kind of bland because I didn't want to use the ketchup. The veggie burger fell apart on me which was annoying. On the menu, there were options such as tator tots which aren't vegan because they're cooking in the same oil as the meats. But then the french fries get their own vegan oil? Make it make sense.
Looking at other reviews I see many, especially the ones with pictures with few people in them, were made 4 days ago, before the restaurant's grand opening to my understanding. Kind of reaks of fake reviews.
Won't be...
Read moreCame for happy hour on Friday, and can say no one who was working seemed very happy. We ordered drinks at the bar (not busy at all) the girl behind the bar seemed annoyed from the time we walked up, told us to grab menus from the host stand bc she as going to be a minute (she was pouring A beer) so we grabbed menus and ordered drinks, no one was very friendly so we took our drinks outside. The drinks were great and we had the whole outside space, it was great. Went in to order another round and stood in front of the bar while all the bartenders and staff were chatting by the bathrooms looked over a couple times and kept chatting. Wasn’t until a manager came by and told them to take our order, again so unfriendly and seemed annoyed. Ordered an appetizer and my sister got scolded when she went to the bar to get it bc she wasn’t standing in the right place… and the tots were not cooked. Finally we called it quits and went to pay, my sister made a comment she wanted to leave a review… the last thing the bartender said was “I hear everything” and gave us the first “smile” we had seen the whole time we were there. The drinks were delicious( only reason for 2 stars) service was non existent and the vibe of the whole place was off. We are hoping it was just an off day definitely seemed like something had happened that put everyone in a funk. I have had great food and good service prior but definitely was disappointed...
Read moreTried the restaurant for the first time and what a disappointment! The food was overdone and tasted like it was sitting under warming lights too long. The fish on the fish and chips was well done, crispy, dry and tasted like it was frozen instead of fresh. The burgers were overdone and instead of thick and juice were more like dry McDonalds burger patties. Instead of trying to make the burgers “fancy” trying making them delicious. The bruschetta bread was so stale and dry we felt like we ran a risk of breaking a tooth biting into them. The Margarita flatbread, which should be fresh and light, was anything but, tomatoes and mozzarella didn’t look or taste “fresh”, and instead of s balsamic glaze was soaked in balsamic salad dressing! We didn’t receive our second side salad and our waiter was totally unaware of this because he never checked on us! So expensive and the food was bad. My biggest regret was paying for it instead of sending it all back. I really wanted/hoped you’d have great food, Westerville needs great restaurants, but yours failed miserably! The only plus is your outdoor area but that’s not enough reason for me...
