While getting Panda recently, the manager held up the line with a yell. "Who made this bowl?" she barked. My friend was baffled as to why his bowl was the subject of scrutiny. Someone admitted to making the bowl, and the manager looked at us and said "Sorry guys, teachable moment". She proceeded to ask him what they've talked about, reminded him of the count of shrimp (6, not 8), and then opened the takeout bowl back up, walked it back up the line, and proceeded to scoop shrimp from my friends bowl back into the serving dish.
From a fellow leader of people, here's a teachable moment for you, Angela: this was inappropriate. Look, I've been there - you know the procedure and you know they know the procedure and it can be frustrating. You can guide your team's behaviors without shame, embarrassment, and condescension. And, certainly, don't put it display in front of your customers. You took food from my friend's sealed container. Every single person lost something in this interaction.
Next time this happens, lean in, remind them of the correct behavior in a way that preserves dignity and customer service, and forget the 2 shrimp.
I was going to let this go, but, this was my fortune from the meal. Who am I to ignore a...
Ā Ā Ā Read morewent to Panda Express in Westerville and ended up walking out. When we entered a guy was moping the floor in front of the place were we would stand to order. We continued to walk through the dining room and he moved along with his mop. As we moved forward he went back and began to re-mop the area we were headed to. What the heck? apparently that spot wasn't wet enough for us to slip and fall? Then he disappeared around the corner and now he is standing in front of us ready to take our order. The only problem is that most of the food bowls were empty. We said we would wait and while waiting he took another order and cashed another customer out. Now WITHOUT washing his hands or changing gloves he serves another customer and cashes them out. At this point I realize that there is no way he had time to wash and changed his glove after he came back from mopping the floor. GROSS. He had been touching serving spoons, bowls, containers after touching a mop handle and handling cash. All I could think was I sure do hope that is not the mop used to clean the bathroom.
Called management to let them know and instead of being very apologetic, took an attitude. We will never go there...

Got an addition to my order because I couldnāt order at drive thru so she told me to drive to side and they bring it out. Great, no prob. I just parked and went inside. Well they got the order wrong, rang me up for several orders of something when I only wanted a certain number. I get it, it was my confusion and my faultāI didnāt realize they sell their crab rangoons by 3 but she kept shouting me down just repeating herself over very loudly. Horrible...
