If you commute in to NYC, I suggest stopping here for a sandwich to go. It takes them literally 2-3 min to make a sandwich. Proof of its staying power: My father when he was a kid would eat at Herseys, and whenever we come to visit, it's become tradition to grab a breakfast sandwich together. They're family owned and still going strong. Went in at opening and they were already juggling orders via phone. The locals know what's good.

Then to my 20's when I would find the delis in Brooklyn that served up HUGE portions of fresh custom subs. Having moved away and slowed down the metabolism, I was overwhelmed by the portions and nostalgia as I ordered, and carried home what is more like a torpedo than a sub. Delicious!

For the third week in a row, the person behind the counter was not able to get a simple order right. All we wanted was turkey sloppy joes. First time, they forgot the dressing, second time, they forgot the cole slaw. Now, third time, they added roast beef and forgot the dressing again. This was their last chance with us.
