Every time I go into this Subway, I am treated like I am wasting the employees' time.
Last night, I went in (25 minutes before the store was supposed to close) to order a sandwich and leave. The couple in front of me asked for a water cup and they were informed that the store was "closing in 15 minutes" so those cups had already been put away for the night. They initially completely ignored me and stood there talking about how they were closing, clearly wanting us to hear them. They had EVERYTHING cleaned up and put away. All of the food had already been put into containers. The floors were wet from a mop (no wet floor sign, though) and the cookies had all been thrown out for the night.
One more person came in behind me which REALLY ticked them off. When the employee was getting bread for him, she slammed the door closed about as hard as she could and said to him "And what do you want on it?" in the rudest tone I've ever heard a customer service employee speak to a customer. And the whole time, she kept looking up at the clock (which at this point, said 7:40).
I worked in food for a long time so I know how frustrating it is to want to get out of there as soon as possible after close. But if your hours are posted on the door as closing at 8 pm, then that means you are expected to provide service UNTIL 8 pm. When I worked in food, that is what my bosses expected of me. We were allowed to do some of the basic cleaning but if a customer wanted something, they got it with a smile regardless of what time it was.
Very disappointed because this Subway is right up the road from my house and very convenient but I think I'll be traveling a little further from now on to go to a different Subway, or maybe just skipping Subway...

When I walked in to the store to pick up my order the first thing i saw was an employee eating a McDonald's sandwich on the prep station with it all out in the open, instantly i was disgusted and didn't even want my order anymore but I did continue to get it anyway. After that the employees were very rude about having to get it for me and wasn't explaining that the name on my card will be the name on my order.
