I came in and ordered two smoothies. It took five minutes before someone acknowledged me and said “one second”. She then walked to the back to get another employee to take my order for some reason. I was the only one in the restaurant. I placed my order and the employee went to make it. I saw the other employee (the one who couldn’t take my order) in the back on her phone so I assumed that since there were two people and I ordered two smoothies, it would only take a few minutes. The employee on her phone never got off her phone except to tell the employee making my drinks what she had messed up on. The girl making my drinks kept stopping to walk up to the front to see how much charge her iPad had. I was getting a little bit frustrated as it had been 10 minutes and the smoothies hadn’t even been blended but I waited because I had paid way to much ($10 per smoothie). The employee who wasn’t on her phone and making my smoothies stopped once they were FINALLY blended and got on her phone to do something and my smoothies were just sitting in the blender. Fast forward 10 minutes and my smoothies are finally done.. I try to be patient especially in situations such as this where it’s a new restaurant, but considering the delay was due to the employees using their phones, I was a little bit angry. Since I waited 20 minutes, I expected high quality and good tasting smoothies. They were pretty average. I won’t...
Read moreI have eaten Bahia Bowl Cafe at Crocker Park twice. First time with my wife and 4 year old at the restaurant, and I was so impressed I had it catered to my office for a team event. Obviously, we were impressed. They offer unique, healthy, and affordable food options, perfect for sharing. With its diverse menu, this restaurant is a must-visit for a quick, healthy option if you are craving a flavorful salad, nourishing wrap or acia bowl. The emphasis on healthy ingredients ensures you can enjoy a guilt-free meal while still satisfying your taste buds and not feeling lethargic afterwards. My personal favorite are the Spinach and Strawberry salad, Sunshine Cobb Wrap and the Acia Bowl. This is the only Acia bowl I have ever had and I loved it. It’s not just visually appealing, it hits the spot. It was the perfect combination of flavors and textures that excite the palate and provide a refreshing and nutritious experience - smooth and creamy with generous handful of fresh fruits like sliced bananas, strawberries and blue berries. The drizzle of honey on top added the perfect sweetness and the granola at the end added a delightful crunch. Overall, if you are at Crocker, I would check this place out, and if you are near by I would go out of the way to eat at Baja Bowl versus other fast...
Read moreNot clean. Workers didn't seem to care. Food was subpar and not very well made. I ordered the Pitaya Bowl and the Kickin' Avocado Toast. Correct me if I'm wrong... but toast is supposed to be crunchy and crispy. This was uncooked bread with browned avocado spread on it that wasn't fresh at all, bacon bits that were haphazardly thrown everywhere, and sriracha aoili. Didn't even eat but one bite of it. Tasted very salty and and the bread was terrible. $7.25 for bread with old avocado on it and bacon bits I could get a McDonalds. The Pitaya Bowl had no oats in it and was leaking out all over the top of my avocado "toast" all over the bag. Very small portions too. Too overpriced for what it is. Will not go back.
ETA: The manager emailed me and gave me a full refund that day. I can respect that. Review went up 2...
