Everything I've had here so far (appetizers, entrees, desserts) have been absolutely delicious. I have gone several times and so far have not had a meal I did not enjoy (I try to get something different each time). The cheddar scallion biscuits are very addictive - I don't know what they put in them, but I'm always tempted to order 5 of them! (I only order 1 to be good, though š). I have yet to try their tacos or pizzas, but they make my mouth water when they go by my table. Their drinks are pretty good, but not my favorite part of the visit.
Why I only rated 4 stars: It does get a bit crowded and can be loud which can make it difficult to hear when talking, which is one reason. I feel cramped in some of the seating selection and can't scoot my chair back, and always feel bad for the server trying to talk with us or walk through the isle. Also, other than the first time I went, the hostess staff and/or manager (unsure who) would be crowded around in the front and wouldn't move for us to comfortably get through to go to our table. I also believe in always greeting new customers and telling them "I'll be with you in just a moment" vs having the customer stand there for 5min with no acknowledgement (especially if they are tight in front of you). Having grown up in the restaurant industry, we were taught no matter how busy you are, you should always greet with a smile and tell them you will be right with them to at least show that you acknowledge the customer. Communication is key! And it does make a difference - it makes you feel seen and helps in feeling more patient. But they are polite when they do take your name down/go to seat you, which I do appreciate.
I have yet to have an awful server there - their serving staff is very kind and they do a good job of keeping an eye on you but not being overbearing. The kitchen staff seem to have a great time, too. I bet it is difficult to be "on display", but they don't show it! It's kind of fun to get an open look into the kitchen. What a great team.
I also very much appreciate that there are hooks on the bar so you can hang your purse or jacket vs hanging them off the chair and risk them getting knocked around.
I definitely would like to go again for brunch as the menu sounds delicious! I highly recommend this restaurant for a night out with friends, family or even a...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreFirst time going. The Pimento Cheese Burger was absolutely delicious. I love burgers. I've had countless burgers across the country, and I cannot get over how good this burger was. I almost don't want to go back because I don't want to entertain the thought that this experience was just a fluke. Perfectly seasoned. A bun that was tasty and held up to the heft while not being overwhelming. The Pimento Cheese... chef's kiss.
Seriously, I can't say enough good things about that burger.
The fries were OK. Not great, not bad. Acceptable. That'll do. If they were crispier (double fried drool), this would've been in the untouchable realm as far as a burger and fries platter goes.
My wife got the braised short rib tacos and she said they were great. They looked good, but 2 tacos would've surely been underwhelming for me at that price, but they did look good. She got a margarita to go with it and it was pretty good as well. Not overly sweet. Strong and with good mid-shelf tequila (Casamigos).
Oh and we got the Whipped Feta appetizer...meh. Underwhelming. The couple we went with got the Korean BBQ Cauliflower. That was very very good. WAY better than the whipped feta thing we got.
For real, that burger, though. I have no doubt I will be dreaming about it. I can't think of a single thing I would change about that burger. It hit all the right notes. A perfect symphony of flavors cooked to perfection. If you like burgers,...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreWe have been to this establishment quite a few times. My husband and I genuinely loved the food and atmosphere. That was up until last weekend when we decided to take our kids out here for brunch.
To start, my oldest son is on crutches and it w broken leg, despite numerous tables open the host, possibly the manager, took us to the furthest table in the back of the restaurant and in direct sunlight. Slightly inconvenient but it was okay. After ordering our drinks I decided it was as absolutely miserable to have to sit there with our eyes clothes so I asked the server to move tables⦠wow what a complete inconvenience for herā¦
The food was awful. My husband and son ordered creme brulee French toast which is usually to die for and it came out BURNT to a crisp. I was actually surprised they let it leave the kitchen. I apologized to our server for being such an inconvenience yet again but requested they remake it. My other son and I got the breakfast tacos and one of mine was missing practically all the eggs. Whatever Iāll survive. Here comes the remade French toast which was also burnt again but our experience was so disheartening we didnāt want to be yet another inconvenience to the server or restaurant.
With the cost of food now a days we would expect an outing to be enjoyable but it left us extremely unsatisfied and likely not to eat here in the...
