READ the lease carefully and be aware of these issues before you sign! BUT I would highly recommend that you do NOT sign!! We lived in Crocker Park for a little over a year. It is by far the worse place that I’ve ever lived in! #1 NOISE, NOISE, NOISE! From outside – Trader Joe’s delivery trucks from 7am – 9am – loud truck doors, idling trucks, yelling from employees, and dogs barking on the balconies. From inside, UPSTAIRS- footsteps, those beautiful barn doors opening and closing, the balcony doors opening and closing, dogs running, and even walking, water running from the shower, toilet flushing, wow, that is NOT normal. There is obviously a construction issue, no sound proofing? From the hallway - slamming entry doors, talking – even low talking, dogs barking and even panting – those entry doors don’t block even the smallest sound. From inside – the washer/dryer and dishwasher are VERY loud (even restrictions in lease on when you can run them because of the noise) #2 WINTER! Hallways and elevator smelled of dog urine EVERY DAY in the winter. It was disgusting! Dangerous ICY breezeway to the parking garage, ICY steps in Parking garage, Slippery steps in building! #3 DOGS not on Leashes! - in the hallways and even within the property offices. # 4 SECURITY DEPOSIT! Good luck on getting anything back! No kids, no pets, no pictures were hung, nothing! The inspector at the end of the lease even said that this is the cleanest apartment he has ever seen. They took a painting fee and a cleaning fee out of the deposit because the lease says you can! Huhh? My advice, if you do decide to sign the lease and are going to leave, don’t clean the apartment because they will take your...
Read moreThe apartments are very nice. Maintenance requests for inside of the apartment were handled quickly. Giving one star because the parking garage caused over $4,000 of damage to my car. A drain over my parking space leaked runoff water on my Jeep all winter, and because I work from home and it was winter, I thought the ashy look of my car was due to salt on the roads. I was approached by another resident telling me that it had been their spot before and it ruined their Audi. Long story short, we were unable to get our repairs paid for due to a phrase in the rental agreement that states that the garage is park at your own risk. What it doesn’t say is that the risk is that they don’t properly maintain their garages and multiple cars had the same issue I was having. The only solution Crocker Park Living offered was a gift card for a car wash, and to let me park in the mall parking… in the garage that was damaging my car. The garages are the only area allowed for overnight parking, so unless you want to be ticketed, you must park in the garages that Crocker Park doesn’t adequately maintain. Get a car wash membership if you plan to live here and go get your car washed every day, especially if your assigned space is under a drain or seam between layers...
Read moreWe moved into Crocker Park Living in October 2020 after a challenging year of change. I grew up in Vermilion Ohio and left at the age of 20. During my decades away I lived in Indiana, Atlanta, GA then Southern California for 17 years. In March of 2020 we lost our jobs and family begged us to move back to the area. When looking for a new place to live, my Mom introduced me to Crocker Park. I said "It is like a city in a city!!!" and instantly fell in love with the area. We were trying to find as close of a feel to what we left back in California where there was a great amount of social activity and interaction. I have always wanted to live in loft type living above retail. All of this was a dream come true and being less than a 30 minute drive from family is huge. We love our apartment and the sounds of happy people moving out and about everyday. We face Main Street so when the weather is chilly, we still feel as if we are connected to people even when inside. I really appreciate the weekly Farmers Market and the decorations during the Christmas season. We look forward to sharing more as we experience the warmer weather and increase of social activities. Thank you Crocker Park Living for easing our transition back to...
