Ham 'n Scram — Restaurant in Westminster

Our first time here,  I definitely see us coming back soon in the future.  Walking in it seems simple but it has a lot of character and history.  On one of the walls they had pictures of the owners and team members.  They have newspaper clippings and a dedication to Uncle Bob.  You know it's a popular place when they have a ton of merch.  There was something to look at in every corner. Tim had helped me with my order, he was super nice and helpful.   It was easy to ask him questions.  I felt like I've know him a while.  Regulars there were providing me with tips and how long they've been going there. I ordered: OG Breakfast burrito -  This was delicious and flavorful.  You get a little bit of everything with every bite.  I heard someone order extra crispy hashbrowns and I did the same.  That extra crunch gave it more texture.

Breakfast sandwich on sourdough - Simple and satisfying.  I could easily get full on just 1/2.

Ham cakes - Never had anything like it before but it was tasty.   Tim was telling me that the chipotle ranch was originally for this alone but people started putting it on everything.  This sticks to your ribs and fills you up.

Secret menu "Tim Special " - I'm not sure if there's a name for it but that's what I'm calling it.   Tim told me it was cheddar, swiss, and pepper jack toasted on the grill and the then places tortilla.  The meat choice is up to you.   He provided me with different variations.  I chose the cornbeef with avocado.  When I took it out of the bag it had some weight to it.   First few bites and I was sold.   This is pure perfection.  I highly recommend you to try this whether you want breakfast meats or lunch.

Corn chips- This was good.   I think the guy overcharged me for this.   I added it last minute.   The sign said $1.50 dude charged me $6.  He was telling me it comes with salsa after the fact but I just wanted the chips.  I added this last minute when my food was coming out

Cookies - Do not miss out on these sweet treats.  Tim told me this is locally made in Costa Mesa.  We tried chocolate chip and smores.  It had crispy edges, nice and buttery,  smores were nice and gooey in the middle.   Wish I bought more for the drive home lol.  It did not last because it was that good.

A great experience and will be back soon.   I can't believe we didn't know about this...

Hands down one of the best breakfast burrito joints in all of California - and that's saying a lot coming from me because I don't live anywhere close to this yet I've been coming to them time and time again for the past four years and finished two loyalty cards (which by the way I highly recommend getting so you can get a free burrito after your 10th purchase!) And I live in the valley, in fact next to the all local famous corner cottage, and I will say this...if I had to choose between the two, I'd choose this place, no questions!

The chunks of smokey ham is all i need to say how absolutely delicious this place is! It is definitely my go-to spot for breakfast burritos in the OC! It puts other ham breakfast burritos to serious shame!

I think what sets them apart from all the other spots is based on the following:

1. THE CUSTOMER SERVICE - great great beyond great! and he emphasizes he's about customer service too. he remembers customers which is nice, and they all seem like regulars, another i look out for when i'm on the hunt for a place i plan on going back to more than once.

2. PROPORTION - and i'm not just talking about size, but i'm talking about egg to ham to cheese to the usual filler potato - equal amounts in each...

Wake up early -5am Drink coffee -5:15am Drive to Seal Beach -5:45am Surf at Seal Beach -6:30am As soon as you're out of the water, dressed and good to go, GO HERE -8:30am

BTW: No need to worry about the location cause you're VERY VERY close to the 405 fwy that it doesn't knock you into Cypress or Los Alamitos....

Order Ham 'n Egg Burrito (The Original) it comes with ham, bacon, egg, hash browns, bell pepper, onion and cheese. It also comes with 1 sala. You might want to ask for a 2nd salsa though. $6, yes $6 even.... If you phone order and ask for "The Orignal", they'll know what you mean... or Double Meat Burrito (The Reverend) which is a fatter version of the Original just with extra ham and bacon. $7, actually $6.93 officially. And same applies, if you phone order and ask for "The Reverend", they'll know what you mean....

The nerd I am... I found out that they actually sell their ham bones for customers who want to make broth or soups at home....
