This place has great food, but the service is TERRIBLE.
First of all, they screw up my order 80% of the time. I always order no cheese… but my order always comes with cheese. Pricing is also EXTREMELY inconsistent. I constantly get charged a different amount for the same order.
I refuse to come here again, simply due to my last experience. Let me break it down:
The chef tells me that “I don’t need to act so crazy and need to calm down.”
In total, it took them 5 ATTEMPTS to get my order right. I spent 90 MINUTES driving back and forth and waiting. I was incredibly patient but when I got frustrated I was called crazy.
I will not be coming back. Worst service I’ve ever...
Read moreI came here with my friend for my birthday. No one greeted us, but there were signs to order "here." We ordered and the person that took the order appeared to be the cook and was very rude during the order. Without saying anything, he walked away and we just kind of stared at each other and decided to sit down. No one handed us a number or took our names. So we waited for over half an hour and our food did finally come out. The burrito was only 4 inches long and 2 inches wide, tiny. We drove home deciding it didnt feel welcoming or inviting at all and when we got home we realized our order is wrong. I ordered vegetarian friendly foods, like cheese enchiladas and there was chicken in it. I called the restaurant and nicely asked if we needed to come in for a refund or if they could do it over the phone, I offered to send a picture of the meal as proof. The man said, "ohhhh hold on I wasnt expecting this," and dropped the phone. I waited online for over five minutes, listening to him talk to people in the background, he never came back to the phone.
What a truly truly awful place. Negative stars if possible. Also, the...
Read moreThe food is pretty average but 1 star because they seem to be more about the perception of cleanliness than actual cleanliness. Walked in mid-morning and was told I must use hand sanitizer by the front door in order to dine-in. No big deal, however when I went to the actual bathroom to wash my hands there's no soap. Again no biggie but don't act like you care about clean hands when your bathroom is not properly stocked at the beginning of the business day.
Next, as I'm drinking my water, a cherry stem somehow ends up in my mouth, no cherry. The implications of what this means is disgusting and makes me wonder how much the employees at Lucero's really care about cleanliness at a time where it's more important than ever.
Thinking back, there was also one time my girlfriend and I ate dinner there and the owner was walking around drunk and hitting on my gf. The owner kept interrupting and insisting he get her a free beer even though she declined several times. Needless to say, I will not be returning here or to any...
