I almost never go out to eat and the experience I had tonight is one of the main reasons why. We went to pay and the lady who took the money snatched the 20 out of my hands and walked away before I could ask what the coin change was because I had it but couldn't hear what she said. When she came back I was holding up the change to tell her I was trying to give her the exact coin change so I didn't get more back and she apologized saying sorry once we get change we can't go back and change it. This wouldn't be an issue if she had been attentive to the customer she was taking money from. She then tries to end the interaction by talking over me saying loudly "have a good night" and shutting the window in my face. I had to yell through the shut window that they have not given me my food yet. My friend who was in the car with me commented on how rude that was which I totally agree with.
The lady (who I now found out was the manager on duty) gets aggressive with me asking me what I was saying to the person in the car with me and then saying "I wasn't being rude to you I will get you a refund and you can just go somewhere else". She then comes back to the window with the food we ordered.
We just wasted 17$ cause we are not going to eat this food since this person is unstable and may have done something to the food. We of course just took it and left because she slammed the window again after giving us the food and we are not going to spend anymore time with a person who is rude. Please fire them they suck. Will take some research because I don't have a name, they took off their name badge or were not wearing one but the lady had dark hair and was younger. I have a video of the whole interaction on my dash cam and plan to prepare it as a video review to share on youtube and social media since the review will likely not result in any corrective...
Read moreSo I show up around 12:20 and I sit at the drive-thru for a good 5 minutes. nobody's acknowledged me, nobody comes the window, nobody talks to me so I park the car and I get out of the car I go up to the door the employees look at me and go back to what they were doing didn't even acknowledge me. So I left because at that time my phone was dead. But I got home and called them they confirm that they were open so I went back. When I got there and I was about to order they told me that they're only accepting cash for the rest of the night so I left again because I only had my card. I was curious on why they were only accepting cash and so I called them and I asked the first time they just hung up on me I thought it was a bad connection so I called again the second time they hung up on me again so now I know the guy was just being a dick but I turn around because I remembered I had $3 and I want some fries. When I got there for some reason they were started accepting cards so I asked why he didn't come up to the window the first time I got there and the lady told me that they are closed between 12 and one so that the computers can reboot then ask her why when I showed up 10 minutes ago did they told me they're only accepting cash then she said because between 12 and 1 we can only accept cash because our computers are down. I didn't question her because I was already annoyed but she contradict yourself first saying they were completely closed and that's why he didn't help me at all the first time and then saying they can only accept cash because the computers are down the second time. So ya that was...
Read moreFast food is rarely in my repertoire anymore, but once in a while I have a craving for a Big Mac, which I first savored over 40 years ago when McDonald's open in my small hometown in Massachusetts. When I've sought one out over the past few years, it's always seemed like they are not what they used to be: the sesame seed buns are always dried out to the point they crack apart on the top, the meat seems smaller each time, the sauce isn't plentiful, and the cheese isn't melty. It's as if the burger were a copy of a copy of a copy.
The menu at McDonald's is a clutter mess, like a place that has lost its identity. I didn't see the Angus burgers that I had found acceptable on occasion, but I did discover that McDonald's is making a Grand Big Mac. It's a larger version of the current Big Mac, so I had to try it. Although the bun was still somewhat stale and the cheese was cold and thin, as if tossed on as an afterthought, the beef patties were larger and as such seem to retain more meat juiciness, which contributed enough moisture to help compensate for a dried out bun and insufficient "special sauce".
Evidently, the Grand Big Mac is a temporary menu item. McDonald's is not depending on me for its existence, so missing my bi-annual visits certainly won't be felt. I'll try to make it back for another Grand Big Mac before they're gone, and I think I'll resort to making my own at home...
