Do not come here for Mother’s Day. The expectation of a culinary experience they try to sell and envision was nothing of the sort but an embarrassment of walking in to the restaurant to buffet trays everywhere. The host accepting the reservations did a poor job disclosing this when I made the reservation which they canceled because they said they will close early @ 5 due to Mother’s Day. Weird considering these days are profitable for restaurants so I said ok I’ll do it for 4pm and she didn’t say anything else not even mentioning they wouldn’t be doing their normal service. Anyways server sees we are confused so my mom and husband are wondering why aren’t we getting any service and a gentleman shows up saying that it’s self served buffet for 30 something and I’m like can I have a menu? He said that’s after 7pm so that took me for a loop because I said I thought you guys close at 5 today and he said oh yeah. Clearly I was upset because why the hell would I want to do a reservation for a buffet lmao whatever so he said he will tell the owner/manager because of the misinformation and apparently he got the ok. I was already upset and embarrassed about the whole ordeal I lost my appetite and I left and told my husband and mom to stay but I asked my husband and my mom and they said the service wasn’t the best and the food was ok. Not even a glass of water. Pathetic. For other customers to see what was going on they too started ordering food. Never again rather make the drive to Sabores Chileno than here or listened to my gut and did a reservation for a rooftop restaurant instead. Horrible and poor communication...
Read moreThis is the first review I have ever written. Usually if I had a bad experience I just would chalk it up to experience and not go back. I made an exception in this case because I really want this restaurant to make it as it is close by and has potential. There is a Spanish saying that when the fish smells it starts at the head. I believe this is the case. With better management and more attention to details it could be turned around. Highlights: grilled vegetable side. Cheese cake and the 4 leche dessert. Low: wrong appetizer delivered to table- we did not know. Server said it was delivered by mistake- but enjoy as it was on the house. Luke warm fish was served with ice cold sauce. All easily corrected with a little attention to detail. When all finished I asked for the bill. Was given a tablet with just the amount:$177. No problem was expected for 2 people. FYI- no drinks- I asked for an itemized bill- noticed that the appetizer that was “on the house” was on the bill. When I questioned the server she sheepishly apologized and said the manager said we had to pay. Also a $1 charge for a glass of water. Food: octopi skewer is inedible. Sea bass was fair at best. Shrimp and garlic appetizer was decent. Desserts fabulous. In summation see my...
Read moreUnfortunately, this was one of the most disappointing dining experiences I've had in a long time. We were really looking forward to trying this place, but it fell short in just about every way.
To start, the food was simply not fresh. The ingredients tasted like they had been sitting around for a while, and nothing on the plate felt thoughtfully prepared. For the price we paid, we expected much better quality — but instead, it felt like we were eating reheated leftovers. Portions were small, and everything lacked flavor and care.
On top of that, the prices were incredibly steep for what was served. It’s one thing to charge premium prices for quality food and service, but when neither are delivered, it just feels like a rip-off.
To make matters worse, our server had an attitude the entire time. They seemed disinterested, impatient, and borderline rude when we asked simple questions about the menu. It really affected the overall vibe and made us feel like we were an inconvenience rather than welcomed guests.
I rarely leave negative reviews, but I felt this needed to be said. Hopefully, the management takes this feedback seriously — there’s potential here, but a lot...
