Review from 2 summers ago: This review is based on the last time I ate there:1968. It's the best. Up until eight years old, I'd spend the summer in Westport. This was one of my family's regular spots. Fantastic memories. An hour ago, due to a Siri detour driving north from North Carolina to MA, to my delight, I found myself driving through Westport. And still there was Gold's! Alas, it had closed for the day, but just seeing the sign transported me in time to a delicious happy place I enjoyed with my family. Gold's has endured. Read moreI just discovered this place recently, as it's on my way to PT, and I love it! I only order one kind of sandwich, the Super (a Reuben sandwich with some extra oomph) and, occasionally, some other items. It always meets my expectations. Interestingly enough, all that still works and it has a melancholic "scent" so to say (hey, if it ain's broke, why fix it... right?) It's a place where some strong traditions and cultural things blend in very well with the modern days and the customers, given that the food quality is good, will put up with just about anything...

The food is DELICIOUS, great beef hot dogs, fresh knishes, the pickles crunchy and tasty, and the coleslaw “Ah-Mazing!” The ladies who came out to meet you are absolutely wonderful...the guy...an obnoxious jerk, but hey who cares right!? Focus on the food!!!! Will I be back, you’re darn tooting I will! Thank you Gold’s Delicatessen, your food makes me feel...
