I had a wonderful and absolute best customer service experience possible today with Grant at the Verizon Westport, CT location.
I was originally just going into the store to ask a few questions about adding my son to my plan as part of the family plan package. His mother and I wanted to do research on which one of our cell phone providers provided a better, economically friendly plan. We had no intention of signing up, let alone buying a phone today. In a very welcoming, so non pushy manner; Grant pulled up my account to see what he could do for me and my son. As he was looking over my account; he asked several questions and found out that I was being charged for services that I never used. He made me aware of this; and called Headquarters and worked with another true, very friendly Verizon professional named Courtney. After the three of us talked on speaker; Grant rebated me for all the services and part of the plan that I had never been using. Grant and Courtney were also able to cancel that part of my plan and fix a technical issue that was causing a roadblock in adding my son.
So I ended up leaving with a substantial rebate, a new phone line for my son and to top it off - a great deal on a new iPhone for my son.
Grant is the epitome of a honest, true sales and client service professional! I would tell anyone in the process of switching phone providers or looking to buy a new phone to go see Grant in Westport. In over 20 years having a cell phone, today was by far my #1 experience ever. Thanks Grant and...
   Read moreAbsolute worst customer service experience of my life. I had been a longtime ATT customer and decided I wanted to investigate switching. Work with Ricardo and he tried to push things past me without noticing and then down right lied about other things. He put a screen protector on my new phone without saying he was going to charge me for it. $50 for a plastic screen protector! which I never asked for. Then he setup a 128GB phone without asking which size we wanted knowing it was more money for him. Finally, he tried to do a data transfer for $35 without advising us that this was another thing they charge for. He did all these things hoping we wouldn't pick up on them. Then finally, he told us Verizon was going to give us $150 per line rebates due to switching from another carrier. Turns out that was a lie. And he also indicated we could call and ask for the activation fee's ($40 each line) to be waived since we were long time ATT customers. Again, another lie.
To top this all off, I called Verizon customer services about my experience and to confirm I was SOL for the rebates. They confirmed I couldnât get a rebate and that I couldnât get the activation fees waived. They acknowledge this location really screwed me over but didnât offer to do anything to make it right. So even thou Ricardo at this location provided the worst customer service experience of my life, Verizon's corporate customer service wasnât much better.

   Read moreI've recently visited the verizon store in Westport and an associate name Luis took care of me. When I tell you Luis went ABOVE and BEYOND to make sure everything we needed and wanted was met, he did just that. The store was having issues with the internet which slowed the process down so we did end up being there longer than expected but Luis went out his way to be kind and purchased my son some lunch from the Dunkin' donuts next door because we was there for quite a bit of time. I really think that was really sweet of him because that's something he did not have to do. After everything was said and done me and my family walked out with new phones. My phone had to be ordered so I did have to come back once it was delivered to the store which was this past Monday and again Luis went ABOVE and BEYOND to make sure all my stuff got transferred over and my phone was good to go. I also left with a brand new ipad for my son who's going off to college this fall. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND Luis for anyone who needs to visit the Westport Verizon location.
