Buffalo Wild Wings — Restaurant in Wethersfield

My boyfriend and I were looking for somewhere to eat on Friday night. I called to make sure there was no wait. The person who answered said there was no wait but that the dinning room was closing @ 9 & even if the dining room was closed we could still eat at the bar area. I said ok and asked if the full dinner menu would be available at the bar and she replied “I believe so” When my boyfriend and I arrive a girl greets us and asks if we are dining in, I said yes and she said that the dining area is closed (as expected) I said that’s fine & asked if we can we eat at the bar area? She said no we are closed. I explained to her that I called and spoke to someone on the phone who said even if the dining area was closed we could still eat at the bar. She looked confused and said she would be right back. Another girl came out and asked the same question if we wanted to be seated and I explained yes but that we were waiting for the first girl to come back. Finally the manager comes out and asks if we are dining in, I answered yes and asked if we could sit at the bar. She explained that they were closed. I said yes I understand but I made sure to call before coming over here & the person on the phone told me we could eat at the bar even if the dining area was closed. At this point I’m upset because it was a good 20 minute drive to get there & everyone is just staring at us confused. The manager didn’t do much, didn’t even apologize for the confusion. We couldn’t do anything, just leave. It really was upsetting that the person answering the phone doesn’t have correct information, telling people to come in after they have closed. I live right around the corner from BWW. The first few times I ate there the food and service were good. These last 2 times within a months span have been TERRIBLE. I called ahead to order a snack size honey mustard boneless wings and said I would pick it up in an hour after my shift at work. An hour later, I go in and the woman at the take out desk said my food was not ready (I had also paid ahead of time). 30 minutes later, I am still waiting and was THEN informed my food was lost in the system and they had never made it. I received nothing in return for the failure of having my food very late. The most recent time I went was to celebrate my boyfriends birthday, thinking it would be nice to chat and still be able to have him watch sports after work. The restaurant was not crowded, we were seated immediately. We ordered the app of chips and that came out in 10 minutes. We waited, and waited and waited a whole HOUR and our meals were still not there. There was a table of 6 men behind us who sat down long after us and received their food. The waitress then comes over and informs us it was lost in the system. I tell her that this is the second occurrence, she reassures us and says the food will be right out and the manager will speak to us. We receive our food 15 minutes later and the manager still has not come over. As we finish our meals the manager explains how it must've been some confusion and that she will take care of us. The food was decent, but my fries were cold. The manager took care of our meal since we waited over 1 hour and 30 minutes for our meals. I went there 3 days in a row for their happy hour, 1st night me and my sister had a great time with good food and drinks. The bartender & waitress that night were wonderful, they are the only reason why I’m giving this place 2 stars! The next day I came with a friend for my birthday we sat at the bar, the service was slow even tho there was only 5 other people besides ourselves, the bartender practically ignored us while filling up others drinks 3 times before even asking us if we wanted another drink, I had to wave another bartender down (who wasn’t even on the clock) to ask for a drink! This bartender with no hesitation made us this drink so thank you to him. The 3rd night my family and I came one last time for happy hour we sat in the dining area because the bar was full. Once again the service was slow, 3 waitresses by the register standing around talking, changing garbage, stocking selves, walking up & down pass us twice before anyone even greeted us or ask for our drink order. The drinks including the shots we took was water down! Once we went to the bar when it was less crowded they decided to cut us off. No one was belligerent, stumbling, or slurring their words so I’m little confused on why would we would had been cut off! We didn’t argue just left! We would rather spend our money where it’s wanted!
