Ignore the spam reviews of some of the people below. They only seem to post 1-2 super short angry reviews at places, and it's when they have a BAD experience and not a positive one. They shouldn't be writing reviews to begin with, these type don't really help the public learn about their overall experience. We need more positivity in this world! Anyhow I've visited DORO in West Hartford a few times for coffee, always great! This Wethersfield location is closer to home. Visited a few times for coffee, always great, (support local) especially the Iced cold-brew coffee. I recently ordered today, the chefs chicken salad on brioche, which was amazing, well flavored, although it could have been spread out more on the sandwich ( feedback for kitchen). I like the vibe reminds me of a French cafe, which is welcoming. I somewhat agree with one of the reviewers, the screen for tipping for taking your order is a bit tiresom, and having to clear your own table. I think a lot of business are overdoing it with the tipping screen.
Overall the Vibe and food is great and look forward to visiting and trying their other sandwiches and salads. Check them out you WONT be...
Read moreNot sure what is happening but they need to improve the system . Friday afternoon around 2 , this place was packed, no seats available. I ordered the tuna melt to go and a whole bread sliced. The bread was given to me right away but for a tuna melt I had to wait way too long. I even tried to use online ordering in advance but it wasn’t working. People that came after me and placed their order, they got the order before me. The kitchen was making the food for the in person/in house first and to go later. Didn’t get that because if you have time to seat and order, that implies you have more time. The person who was delivering the food to the table was overwhelmed and visibly annoyed with the people waiting at the counter. My tuna melt came on a very thin piece of toast. The bread is plenty so again I’m wondering what happened. No napkins, no utensils , what a mess. I was going to return later for some pastries but I guess I rather go to the West...
Read moreI came in the evening a bought many things to trial the diversity of the menu. The chicken to me was not particularly special, similar to a grocery store rotisserie but I would eat it again if I was there in restaurant with a friend but not to take home. The sides were ok. I ordered a variety of mini cakes my kids were not fans, overall they lacked flavor, and were heavy on sweetness to say the sugar was more powerful than the supposed flavor. The pistachio cake really couldn’t taste pistachio at all, the rocher cake just tasted like a chocolate cake with a lot of frosting there was one I forgot its name but it was pretty forgettable and the strawberry champagne did actually have a strawberry flavor. The chicken parm sandwich was good. And the breads purchased were good. The ambiance and customer service were enjoyable so I would go back for a coffee with a friend and maybe a snack. The presentation of the food was nice. I did enjoy their...
