Significantly less food portions than usual, requiring multiple requests for standard amounts

Disappointing experience as a regular customer - felt discriminated with this Bibibop location today and had a very disappointing experience. As someone who comes here frequently, I was shocked by how different the service was compared to my usual visits.
The staff were unfriendly from the start - when they asked if person with me wanted food, I explained she had ordered sushi and I wanted the bibibop since it was so good.
They completely ignored my response, didn't smile, and just kept asking what I wanted without any acknowledgment of what I'd said, even though they clearly heard me.
The female staff member serving my bowl was giving much smaller portions than I've ever received before - I had to ask for more on almost every item to get what appeared to be standard serving sizes.
Having been a regular customer here, the portions were noticeably less than what I'm used to getting.
There was also confusion with the utensil policy. Spoons and knives were available self-serve by the drinks, but after paying when I went to grab a fork from what looked like the same square wooden box for wrapped utensils near checkout, she very loudly and quickly walked over and I was told I couldn't take it or touch it myself for hygiene reasons and she moved the box away. She told me hygiene in my opinion like I was a kid. It felt very demeaning and humiliating especially considering I was with someone.
If she did not want people touching the forks then she should not allow the straws the spoons and the knifes sitting with the drinks to be grabbed.
If she had her own container for forks okay yet she did not. She was using the container that matched with the rest of the wrapped utensils with the self service drink tables.
These were not unwrapped utensils so not understanding hygiene when many places yet customers grab unwrapped utensils which I would understand her if they were unwrapped. She should had put a sign of staff only or simply put it on different table so customers do not accidentally grab the forks. If it is against their policy then they should have consistently applied the policy or it seems like they discriminated.
I filled my drink and realized I wanted chopsticks. When I asked a different staff member about chopsticks and tried to clarify the fork policy, she simply repeated that she had already put one in the bag with no apology.
Additionally, most of the drink machines were out of order with only one working when I checked out and the freshly refilled ones were left without lids, and the bean sprouts were ridiculously salty - much more than usual. It seems she should have cared more about the hygiene of the drinks.
As a loyal, frequent customer, this treatment felt completely different from my previous experiences. The unfriendly service and feeling ignored left me feeling unwelcome, which is unfortunate given how often I visit...

Note from me, an eyewitness who was there THE ENTIRE TIME: The "local guides" who have given this establishment 1-star ratings have completely misrepresented the ethical, kind, professional manner in which BIBIBOP conducted this Grand Opening. Managers and staff came by to greet us regularly, offering free cups of warm miso soup. Wristbands were given out only half an hour before the opening ceremony to prevent last-minute line jumping. It was all very civilized; the mood was jolly. These two "local guides" arrived very late, well after the line had queued all the way around the building. In their attempt to count patrons in line, these two "local guides" failed to take into account the longtime folks who'd been in the line the whole time who took bathroom breaks then returned to their places in line. We long-timers were all well aware of each other and were respectful of one another's place in line. These two "local guides" raised such a huge fuss with the managers, made a big scene, shouted obscenities at the staff and at all of us in line, then drove off laying on their horn and giving everyone the finger -- and we have them on video. Please, PLEASE do not reward these rude people in any way. They were uncouth and were truly the only blight on an otherwise perfect Grand Opening! Those of you reading this, kindly take a look at the zillion other 1-star reviews these master manipulators have out there. "Influencers" such as these don't deserve anyone's time or attention. Read moreI rarely write reviews but i wanted to review this place because of my memorably great experience. 1.) restaurant cleanliness: from the moment you walk into the door, you can tell the restaurant is cleaned well. It almost shined when you walked inside. Yes, i know it’s a newer location but still above and beyond what I’ve seen. The line is very clean as well and kept neat. 2.) food: the food looked fresh and very appetizing. I got a bowl with both spicy chicken and steak. The meat was warm and the ingredients were fresh. I love BIBIBOP always but the food here looked especially well prepared/made. 3.) the staff: from the moment i walked into the door, i was greeted by the staff. The employee who was working on another order quickly acknowledged me with a smile on her face. I had an extra request (extra sauce) after i was already rang up and she happily provided the sauce. Everyone was so friendly and it was an incredibly pleasant experience, especially compared to other locations.
