Jersey Mike's Subs — Restaurant in Wheeling Township

I was very upset about my visit tonight at this location . We looked online and they said they closed at 9. We walked in at 8, there was a handwritten note that said they close at 830. All of the chairs were up and a guy was sweeping around us .There were three men working all of seemed upset by us walking in. I could tell by all of their faces turning red and their short answers. Clearly they were annoyed with us. I ordered a veggie giant hot sub and realized I had to take it to go which at that point by the way they were acting I wouldn't eat it there. By the time we made it home to eat it , it was gross and soggy . Something that should of been eaten right away and I spent 22 and left a tip which I shouldn't of done they didn't deserve anything. They were rude and when I asked for a side of pickles he clearly got mad and again with the red face and I said thank you and he says " yep" . They made me feel not welcomed and that I was ruining their plans for the night which happens to be Halloween. I'd never treat anyone this way at my job. The sandwiches sold at this spot are so good. I went here for the first time, and since then I have gone here mainly because I like their sandwiches to the point that they are satisfying and can satisfy my cravings for sandwiches. Their menu is huge and has a variety of options, and it is really nice. I got to choose any sandwich I liked, and I also had a chance to taste some other unique sandwiches that are available on their menu. The prices, on the other hand, are fair and reasonable. I would say that the prices are just about worth it considering the taste and quality of the sandwiches. The place is also clean and has a pleasant interior, which is another reason why it feels good going in here. It is a small spot, but the atmosphere and vibe are great. The staff are also friendly and accommodating. The service is also fast and at the same time, they gave accurate orders and they also accepted my orders when I wanted to, like, not include something sort of. I stopped in for lunch (at 2:00pm) to use a discount card sold by local high school groups. Jersey Mike’s deal was free chips and a drink with purchase of a sandwich so worth the price of the card. While the food was great, what made this visit amazing was the extremely friendly and helpful guys working. They were funny, friendly and extremely helpful with not only my discount card, but also the gift card I used to pay. Everything is electronic these days. Swipe this, swipe that, insert your card face down and to the left, but only if Jupiter is in retrograde. As I get older, I get tired of fast food employees who refuse to smile, barely look at you when they mumble “whadd’ya want?” And generally look like they hate life.
