As another has said, I never thought I would write a review for McDonalds on my Yelp account. I have been to this location before, and have never had great service. This particular time I went through the drive thru while it was very slow. My last experience here, I ordered French fries and was very disappointed to discover that they were cold and dry. I drove off with them because I didn't want to make a big deal about it. On this occasion, I requested fresh fries and even offered to wait for them. Keep in mind, my WHOLE order was for two fries and a drink. I received my fries without a wait so i decided to try them first. As expected, they were cold and dry. I then parked my vehicle and went inside to request a new order as mine were cold and dry. I was very polite and kind, as I am in customer service myself and I know how customers can be rude. I spoke to the Manager I believe (wearing a white shirt). He was very rude and condescending. When I requested a new order and explained my situation, he told me that the fries looked fine to him with an attitude. I told him that they were cold and dry and for him to try them himself. He opened the bag and looked at them and threw them away. He then walked away swearing under his breath while rudely talking about me in spanish to other employees. He then made a fresh batch, and I watched him douse them in salt. I could not believe the attitude from him. I am a General Manager myself and if he was an employee of mine, he would be fired on the spot. I understand we all have bad days, but I literally was told I was wrong, and he cursed about me to other employees literally right in front of me. PLEASE DO SOMETHING ABOUT THIS EMPLOYEE. DATE OF VISIT 05/29/2016 TIME 7:50ISH. The worst part is I live right by Randhurst and there is a Mcdonalds across the street and I always drove out of my way to this one....
Read moreDepressing to see how downhill this place has gotten. Been visiting this place for over 25 years and the past year or so it's really gotten bad. It is usually dirty, and my most recent visit was no different. All garbage cans were overflowing and the floors were filthy. Employees relaxing in the dining room on break in the middle of it. Only reason we came - bringing the granddaughter so she could have a snack and play in the playroom. The playroom was trashed, with garbage literally stacked above the cans. Every table was covered in a mess. We asked if a table could get cleared and the person screamed to someone else to clean it, who then argued with the person they wanted to clean (they wanted to go on break).
Was also the longest time to get my order taken, ever. The man politely took my order, then walked away. Never saw him again. After 5 minutes, another employee noticed me (and the line behind me) and asked if I would like to order. I mentioned my order was already taken, although I was waiting to pay. They deeply sighed, then took my payment. They then prepared our coffee wrong (we wanted black, they put cream and sugar), fries wrong (needed no salt due to health reasons) twice, and forgot the drink for the happy meal. Our food was thrown in a bag (despite our order being for here), and presented with a "here", nothing else. Employees were shouting at each other the entire time while I waited the nearly 10m for my order to be assembled (since they had to make 2 baskets of fries from forgetting the no salt).
Unless something has changed, Corporate should really step in and shape up this store. From what I recall, this is a Corporate store known as Northmac internally. Next time we'll go to the nearby franchise that doesn't have as much play space, but at least is clean and has...
Read moreHas anyone noticed the strange taste of coke lately? The coke in the northern part of Illinois is foul tasting. I believe they no longer use pre-made/canned seltzer water. There is a way of making seltzer with your tap water, and McD's uses this method, and it is a foul tasting. YUCK 🤮 I left Lake Michigan water to a village where their tap water is from wells. The coke is just as nasty as the well water. Then we move over to their frozen mocha Frappe, once one of my favorite affordable coffee drinks. It has become a warm/melted coffee. McD's charges the fancy themselves barista such as Starbucks competitor rather than a fast food restaurant. I wrote a review a way back. Praising McD's their breakfast sandwich anytime with their mocha coffee was a big fave. Nope it's all gone. It was a reasonable meal. Needless to say, it's gone, and their coffee has become yuck. Well, to clarify, McDs has changed...
