This is what I'd call a compact Shake Shack but has everything you would expect from a Shake Shack. I say compact as the store seems a bit smaller in size when compared to other Shake Shacks I have visited (except the original in Madison Square Park).
This location has a very nice outdoor seating area which probably makes up for the smaller footprint. That said, indoor seating area forms an 'L' shape with the counter and three self-serve kiosks up front.
I noticed that packaging seems to be different or upgraded since my last visit featuring simple brown kraft folded boxes that hold the fried pickles or chicken nuggies.
Fries are served in a similar container but it has no covering.
Well, everything is very good. The chicken nuggets are really tasty, only lightly seasoned on the outside and obviously NOT overly processed with thick breading.
Fries are another highlight, just so tasty and you have a lot of options for different sauces.
If I had any issues at all I might say that the fried pickles border a touch on being too salty for my tastes.
Overall Shake Shakes are very consistent location to location so you can expect to enjoy everything, every visit.
Other locations I have visited have had large windows, high ceilings or just larger floor space. This is why I suggest this location is...

Let's just start with the price. EXPENSIVE is to say the least, sustainably sourced I understand but that doesn't negate the excessive cost for the portion. Bacon cheese fries that have less in them then a school cafeteria for nearly $6. A 10 piece chicken bite that equated to less than 2 chicken tenders for nearly $8 an a burger than looked to be about 4 ounces. Then there is the vanilla shake that was $6 and half the size of the local ice cream shop that makes their own ice cream and charges $4. There is a great sustainably sourced restaurant on Tilghman St in Allentown that without alcoholic drinks you will only spend $5 more and won't leave hungry.
Now let's get onto the food. The cheese sauce was basically non existent on the fries and the 12 little crumbles of chopped bacon was pathetic. The burger tasted good but honestly it was a disappointment in the size category. The chicken bites were inedible and thrown away after eating 2 of the 10. They were so excessively salty.
Here is the highlight of the whole trip, the staff were AWESOME. Awesome enough for a return trip NO but I will give them cudos for being friendly, attentive and service oriented.
Overall we went home and had to subsidize our lunch with PB and Jelly sandwiches. Huge...
Read moreRating them a 2 because the food was good but not worth almost $50 for 2 people, we could have gotten the same food from Wayback for no more than half the price. Not to mention the amount of avocado on my bacon AVOCADO burger was barely visible to the human eye. We will not be back. It was around 8pm on a Friday night, the tables were dirty (we had to wipe it down ourselves) and the bathroom was a mess and disgusting. When our order was ready we received a text saying our food was ready and they would bring it to us. However that meant they just yelled the name our order was under and we had to go get it. We aren’t too good to get our own food at a fast food joint, but if the expectation is for the food to be delivered to your table, that should be the experience. Once we got our food, my husband noticed they gave him the wrong milk shake. He brought it to you counter and politely let them know it was wrong. The girl he talked to first was apologetic and then asked the milkshake girl to make the correct shake, to which she responded “Why, what’s wrong with that one?” Clearly hearing it was the wrong shake. The two girls bickered back and forth and then FINALLY begrudgingly, the correct milkshake was made. All that to say, the food tastes good, but not worth the price or...
