Excellent place! Charming inside, for the location on Lambert, in City of Whittier. Like an eatery during a tour to another place, type of atmosphere. Deja vu, deja vu 🙆; plus, a little Italian Store taboot! 👍☺️. Get the feeling your in some "Gift Shop"..as in Disneyland, or Knott's Berry Farm, Solvang Village..etc. Aroma permeates everywhere of the food. Been eating there for years. It's a "Landmark of Originality". Must go and see & order: either out or sit and have your meal there. The only thing I could suggest🤔💭..is, they need more counter help & in the back. Employees were very pleasant, courteous, and very busy, after that the service was slow. Oh, when I was there they had previously gotten a delivery order to fill. Like 20 bags! So everyone was tending to fill that order. So the rest of us that came in had to wait our turn. Seemed like an hour. They need a second kitchen, separate to fill only Carter's, or large party office orders, church assembly party orders....etc.. that's all I'm saying. I only wish there was a 0 star option. I ordered on Door Dash, and the driver called me from the road to tell me he thought the order was someone else's. When he tried to tell the person at the restaurant, they brushed him off and insisted it was correct. Sure enough, it wasn't. Had to reorder our meal, and when it finally arrived it was cold and inedible. The chicken picata was rubbery and horrible tasting, the bread was stale and old, and they sent carrot cake, instead of the chocolate cake I ordered. Everything was disgusting!! It was Fatbers Day, and I understand the restaurant was really busy, but still.... Today I realized I had ordered from the wrong Lascaris, because today I ordered from the Lascaris on Whittier Blvd., And we had THE BEST meal we have had in a long, long time. It was heavenly. Especially high marks for the entrees and the hot, right out of the oven bread. Not to mention the absolute best chocolate cake on the planet!!! Needless to say, I will not make that mistake again.
