SEÑOR PEPPER'S MEXICAN RESTAURANT — Restaurant in Whittier

My parents are older ate at this place from Dec - February and recently told me the bad experience in their last visit . The last time they went to dine there they viewed a sign that said buy (two plates and get one free after 4pm). They asked the owner why they had not been given the third plate like the offer says in prior visits before like three times they went to eat after 4pm . They were never told by anyone .The owner said we are removing that tomorrow and brushed it off and was sarcastic he didn’t even care . He also does not like Hispanics talking Spanish treats them differently my parents where speaking that language . Some white people came in while my parents were eating and gave them free soda instead same day . This is the type of guy that is just pimping a Hispanic restaurant but despises them wants whites only … ironically he is a Hispanic…. Don’t go here just a greedy restaurant owner. This place won’t survive long in business in this economy probably why he has no issue doing stuff like that . No successful person treats people differently. The guy likes losing money because my parents were spending good amount those 3 visits now they will never be back rightfully. Goes to show you not everyone should own a business. It was really hot today, and I skipped breakfast, and I didn't feel like walking all the way to Carl's, so I stopped in here for lunch. Only now do I remember the adage about eating where the locals eat or something like that. There was NOBODY in this place when I walked in. At noon. Not even any employees. At first I wondered if they were closed, but I was inside so they had to be open. It was very clean. I picked up a menu and was browsing it for a few minutes before someone showed up behind the plexiglass. I forked over $18 for the chicken taco & chili relleno plate with a large Coke and chips. The chips were extra, BTW. Despite the fact that only one other customer showed up after me (and a delivery driver), my order took almost 20 minutes. The food was not bad, but it was just okay, and it wasn't hot, either. I kept thinking about how much I prefer Super Mex, especially when I ate the thin chips that kept breaking on me. Also, it was uncomfortably warm inside the place. Maybe I should have ordered the Chimichanga. Maybe I should have walked to Carl's.

Oh, I got a free refill on my Coke, and they added extra ice like I asked, so...

I only gave 1 star rating ONLY for the BEANS!!! I ordered the Taco & Tamal combo. Got the soft carne asada taco. They got my order wrong. First they gave me a Taco & Chile Relleno. Then they took forever to fix it. Everyone in my party was done when I got my food. When I ordered the lady told me the taco had guac, mine was plain. I asked for my guacamole and she asked me to see my taco bc they put guac! Umm nooooo ya didn’t. Then the Tamal tasted like a dirty gym sock, with this horrible red tar! Tamal was so soggy it was mush. My rice, I can’t even come up with the words to describe the horror! This place was HORRIBLE HORRIBLE HORRIBLE!! I should have asked for my money back. Then I needed a refill to wash that horrid taste out and they have the nerve to charge for it. The lady who took my order seen that my plate was full bc it was to grosse to eat. Such a shame!
