This place is pretty great! A large selection of beers with an forever changing menu is great as you always have the chance to try something new! Even better, the drink prices are fantastic. I could enjoy a whole night out at just this spot and spend only $40! (And i'd like to think I could drink) The bar tenders are very attentive and responsive even on nights when they get swamped, and always welcoming. They do not have a kitchen, but partner with a couple of Uptown restaurants and you can order food and have it delivered to the bar! They would kill it if they partnered with more local restaurants. The atmosphere is a little dark, but not uncomfortably so. The music is just loud enough to be present, but not enough to make it hard to have a nice convo with friends over some drinks. Seating is slightly limited but not too inconvenient, unless you're with a large group. Overall, The Cellar gives a nice touch of modern to Uptown Whittier and makes myself and others with similar taste hopeful for the direction Uptown business and nightlife is headed in. Definately would recommend this place for a more intimate hang out with friends. I'll keep coming back as long as...
Read moreAnother property owned by the Ramirez family, aka Ramirez Liquor & Kegs Delivery this establishment provides a mixture of not only a portion of their craft beer for sale, but also a hefty beer tap selection and wine as well. (no cocktails). I've been coming here since the opening and the staff to Kim, Caroline and the rest provide top notch friendly service that makes you feel right at home. On Tuesdays they have a stout day which from a small refrigerator they sell hard to find beers that you can consume only in store, also Wednesdays are sours so its a win win! On occasion they have food trucks on weekends to help fill your stomach of good food and great beer.
As for the beer selections, I would say you're going to get about 1/3 of what you would find here vs their full stores but they definitely do keep the most popular stuff on the shelves so it does help. On occasion you'll find some rare gems from places not currently distributed to California, so expect to pay a bit higher in regards to some of these beers.
Overall, thanks to Alex and the rest..I will be back..if Im not...

They have a Bourbon County Barrel advertisement front and center in their storefront yet didn't receive any Bourbon County this year (and don't have any past Bourbon County). I realize InBev sends Bourbon County to those who sell a lot of Budweiser and Cellar doesn't have Budweiser, but maybe it's time to redecorate?
They had Fremont Brew 4000 on tap, $6 advertised for flight price. But apparently you have to order a whole flight or a full pour. Getting a full pour of a 12.7% beer (or flight) at 12 pm doesn't sound like the best idea when you're driving. I don't know if that's a Covid rule or a California rule, but should definitely be rediscussed. DUI factory. It hurts the bartender too because she could have at least gotten some sort of tip from me today. Since I live in Ohio and am staying in Arizona this is probably the last time I'll get to...
