Have passed by this place on many occasions , and maybe it seemed a bit small, or crowded for us to stop, but last night as we were passing by it stood out, with the sign"OPEN DURING CONSTRUCTION"so I suggested we stop. The construction is outside, apparently adding or updating the patio, inside was crowded but we found one table available, the place will benefit once the patio seating is complete.
They have specials on different days, Monday is Mahi Mahi day, and I gave the plate a try, it comes with a side salad, rice and pita bread. My girlfriend tried the ceviche, which comes loaded on tostada shells. Opinions of the place are that they were friendly, it is nicely decorated, seemed welcoming and was comfortable to dine in. The food was very good, and was a value for the portions. ceviche was prepared well and tasty, the Mahi Mahi was cooked perfect, not overdone, and seasoned well, enough not to overpower the flavor of the fish. Look forward to the next visit, maybe for taco...
Read moreDespite having had issues here before with pricing and food quality I continue to come because the food is great most of the time. It’s so disappointing that there are certain days or times when the food quality is not the same as others. I was really craving this today so I called and placed an order only to discover the taco sauce was placed on the side which is okay but also why is it cold and solid. The creamy chipotle sauce was literally solid consistency :/ and the Parmesan garlic fries I got were soggy. So soggy they immidiate mashed as soon as I grabbed it with my fingers. I had to throw them in my oven which just changes the overall flavor of them when reheated and despite being in there for over 10 mins the fries were not becoming crispy and instead the cheese started to burn :/ really disappointed what a bummer!!! Usually the fries are always perfectly crisp and hot. I wish they had consistency with the food because the food is amazing on the days they...
Read moreGreat customer service. The place was a little cramped and I did not care for the TV that did not fit in such a small space. Even the tortillas and pitas were in the dining area for everyone to see. They have to get rid of the TV if they want to create a nicer ambiance. The food was not bad. If I come again I will try different items from the menu. I had clam chowder and a shrimp/potato taco. The clam chowder had a pillowy texture that put me off, but it had good flavor. The taco had way more potato than shrimp. I'm not sure if potato and shrimp make a good combo, but I think I prefer either shrimp or potato, but not together. For tacos of any kind, I would rather make my own at home. When I go out to eat, tacos are the last thing on my mind. I love clam chowder, but this one was...
