Once upon a time I gave B&C a 5 star review but after yesterday I have changed my mind. It's been 3 years since I was there last and could very well be 3 more years before I return. Now, I want to add the bbq was still as good as it's ever been but nothing else was up to standard beyond that.
The inefficiency in which B&C operates is simply unacceptable. My wife and I walked in the front door at 11:20 am and didn't reach the actual buffet until 11:45 so anyone who is on a time crunch should forget about it.
The main issues plaguing the process is too many questions being asked and not enough lines. For starters, there is only 1 cashier. Definitely should be two or three. The next biggest issue is too many pricing options for the buffet and from what I observed, causes folks to ask a lot of questions about the different pricing tiers which definitely slows everything down.
Next is the buffet line itself. The salad items should really be moved to a different location of the restaurant in order to split the crowd up and speed everyone through faster who doesn't want salad. It takes too much time for someone to ask you about the toppings you want, side items, etc. Just inefficient all together in that area.
It seems B&C is trying to be COVID safe with the glass partition between the employees and the customers but all that is for nothing when you're handed a carnival ticket from the cashier only to be handled by yourself and then handed to an employee that's standing behind the glass partition. Lots of contact between people.
Lastly, paying $21 for the all you can eat option is a racquet since the average person will only have time to make it through the line once due to the whole process being so slow. Since the restaurant serves you like a school cafeteria and completely controls the portions, it makes it impossible to get your money's worth in one trip.
B&C's complete process is setup with so many inefficiencies one would think they're doing it on purpose in order to make maximum profits while grossly under serving the ones who elected to pay the premium price in order to receive premium product. It just doesn't workout well for the consumer.
So again, if you are crunched for time, go elsewhere or only pay for the lowest price tier they offer because it's obvious B&C doesn't want you to be able to go through twice with the all you can eat option.
Overall, I'm very disappointed with this establishment and will most likely get my bbq from almost anywhere else from now on because I don't enjoy being taken advantage of due a company's...
Read moreThe service is lacking again today. We got the 17 dollar combos today. I absolutely love the meats I get. The flavor is fantastic but the experience is always lacking because the majority of the people you interact with look unhappy and have an attitude. Today one of the servers on the line was in a hurry and there was no one behind us. It was our first time being here for lunch. I ended up not getting beans which is what I wanted because I couldn’t see them and the lady was rushing me. She literally slammed my food on the tray as she was weighing it. The manager just stares at people and walks around she spent most of her time on her phone. Their was an employee touching her hair with her food serving gloves on so it’s no wonder I had a long black hair in my pulled pork. I know it wasn’t mine because it was thicker and black. Mine is light brown and thin. I would eat here way more often if the service was as good as the BBQ. No hair nets and employees more interested in their phones and talking to each other then they are making sure the guests are happy. The last time I came for dinner and I ordered the prime rib. It was a great flavor but missing my asparagus. I had to ask for something that should have been on my plate. I’m not angry by any mean but I do believe management needs to step it up because everything rolls downhill. If management isn’t held accountable for their actions the employees will of course follow suit! I’m concerned that another place with good food will go asunder because the service is continuously going downhill. I will say the hostess put some effort in. One of the ladies on the line was trying to be helpful to the best of her ability but I still missed out on what I would have preferred because it wasn’t visible and I was being rushed. Please work on this because I would really like to enjoy your food and place again. I have been coming here since I moved to Wichita two years ago. I hope and pray y’all can get the service part together again. My husband also complained about some of the women wearing yoga pants. I won’t put the colorful parts here but it has to do with thin pants and it not being appealing to look at or notice whilst he was eating. I think if your ladies are wearing yoga pants it would be best if their groins and rears were fully covered by their shirts. Politely put he felt it was highly inappropriate. I’m all for comfort but perhaps they could be a bit more modest. Just...
Read moreGenuinely the worst experience I’ve ever had at an establishment. Food or entertainment.
Walked in the host didn’t look at me for 2 minutes just held up her finger and said “1 minute.”
No music playing, and the entire staff looked miserable. I didn’t see a single person smile once. The poor salad lady looked like she was being held captive.
I got the Mac and cheese and two types of beans. Then ribs chicken and brisket. I asked if they had extra barbecue sauce and the lady just pointed to the main room. There’s a standard bbq sauce on the table. (It’s a bbq restaurant how are there not more sauces???)
The food was lukewarm at best. Within a minute of sitting down my food was ice cold. Flavor was maybe okay if not bad. I’m not expecting amazing with a $24 dollar unlimited but it’s not even edible if it’s cold.
I’m not a bad review guy or a diva, I had to go to work after so I was occupied. I asked a server who walked by if I can get a box to go. I figured that’s a no with a buffet but I had to ask. I explained how my food was ice cold and I’m okay throwing it in the microwave at work. (I couldn’t get seconds to try and get warm food the line was long) I ate 1 bite of everything to try but once again, was ice cold. She said she needed to ask her manager (and you can tell she was visibly scared of). I’m a server as well, I didn’t want to waste the food nor did I really want a server to do extra work, which was why I asked for a box. If I got offered new food I would have accepted
The manager comes over, and tells me no. I explain how it’s ice cold and inedible and she WALKS AWAY. She wasn’t even busy she was polishing glasses. She didn’t smile, say sorry, she made me feel stupid for asking when I was just trying to even get close to my moneys worth. She knew my food was cold and did nothing. (The ribs were fresh on top too)
They made a rainy gloomy morning 10 times worse for me. I have never given a bad review but I paid good money to basically feel like an idiot. There was one server (who I probably wasn’t in my section) who smiled at me and got me a water. Every other single employee looked absolutely miserable. It’s insane this place has thousands of good reviews yet every part of the...
