I recently visited this restaurant on Wednesday the 24th 12am at night while in Wichita, Kansas, under unfortunate circumstances, as my family and I had traveled 13 hours from another state due to the passing of my uncle. We arrived late and were exhausted, hoping to have a decent meal to end our day. Sadly, our experience at this restaurant was incredibly disappointing.
From the moment we walked in, the waitress, a chubby lady, seemed to be in a terrible mood. When we placed our orders, she acted as if she couldn't understand us, which felt quite discriminatory. To make matters worse, when she brought out our drinks, her fingers touched the rims of our glasses, which was very unhygienic and off-putting. After placing the drinks on the table, she used her hand to push the drinks towards us, which felt very unprofessional.
Throughout our meal, she never once checked in to see if we needed anything or if everything was okay. We had to ask for the check ourselves, as she showed no interest in our table. We even wrote on the bill when we paid to please be nice next time, but we will not be in Kansas again since this was our last visit to see my uncle.
The food was good, but this lack of basic courtesy and service, especially during such a difficult time for our family, left a very negative impression.
This was our first and likely our last visit to this restaurant. Given the circumstances and the poor treatment we received, we are very disappointed and would not recommend this place to anyone.

Read moreWas in from out of town and went in for appetizers a few nights ago and it wasn't the experience I expected. We were told it was open seating on the bar side of the restaurant and to sit wherever, so we sat at a high top table and waited.. and waited. Finally one of the two waitresses on that side quickly stopped by and took a drink order...she was obviously in the weeds.. bad. She brought our drinks and we waited again for quite some time. I finally got up and went to the host stand to ask the hostess if we could be moved to a table on the dining side, not only because we still hasn't gotten to place our order after almost 20 mins, but the music on the bar side was turned up so loud that I could barely have a conversation over the excessively loud music and bass coming from the blown speakers. So we were moved to a section with one server that was already taking care of about 7 other tables but seemed to be managing it alright. It seemed like the floor had been cut down too soon considering the amount of sat tables that were there when I arrived. Either way, we finally ordered our appetizers and they came out fairly quickly although the buffalo rolls weren't very warm and were fairly small and the artichoke dip portion was very small and oily..but I was hungry, so I ate it. The server we ended up getting was very nice and made our experience better than it would have been had we stayed over on bar side. As a former employee of this location, I expected better from my visit but I will still come back in again next time I'm in town to support my Old Town Old Chicago, just hope things are a little better than they were...
Read more2nd terrible experience in a row. Two weeks ago the server had an awful attitude and definitely not attentive. Tonight was even worse. Drink took almost 30 minutes because I sampled 2 beers then my server never came back for another 20 min. Then 10 min to get the actual tap beer. My Water was never once refilled, although it sat empty for him to see the entire 2 hours we were there. Ordered an appetizer that only takes 3 min max and it took almost an hour. It came out wrong so I asked them for the corrected way. 30 min later (1 hour 15 min after we initially ordered) the new one came out and was still wrong. Matt the server had a horrible attitude when I asked him to comp it off, as I told him we were on a time crunch at that point and would not have time to eat the appetizer. We had 2 bites of our boneless wings. I asked for all checks for the 5 of us, two of which were on one check. He walked off while I was talking, after telling him we needed to go due to plans and timing, looked back and he was leaned against the wall in the kitchen flirting with a female employee. I had to stop another employee to ask for our checks again. He finally brought the checks and literally tossed the book across the table at me. I then asked friends at the table for a pen to fill in my loyalty number and he happened to hear and tossed a pen on my book and walked off. I hope it gets brought to his attention and I will no longer be visiting the old town old Chicago. That really...
