UPDATE: This review was left 1 yr ago… right after the repairman left after being without A/C for two weeks IN 90 degree weather and I finally had relief. This was towards the end of summer and we didn’t have long to run the AC, but little did I know all they did was a quick fix. They came out initially and repaired what the technician told me was wiring issue, he said everything else was good. He worked on it for maybe 20 minutes and him, and his son were gone. Not even a week later, the unit went out again. I called my home warranty company, American Home Shield, and they sent them back out for the technician to tell me exactly a week later that the unit was not working because it was out of Freon. I know that I am a woman, but I know that this is supposed to be a closed system and Freon doesn’t just disappear if there’s not a leak initially, and if that was the case, why didn’t he catch it a week prior. the technician did not take kindly to me, questioning his ability or diagnosis, and told me that my warranty company did not cover Freon and that he was gonna give me a deal on it, which was also part of the reason for my original review. We paid to have the Freon added to the unit and like I said, it was towards the end of summer. Now, fast forward one winter to 2024 where it is the beginning of spring and we had an unseasonably hot day and I want to turn on my AC unit and behold it’s blowing warm air!! Here I am waiting on American Home Shield again to send someone else to fix my AC because I believe that on time heating and cooling only does fixes and work around to ensure job security since they have a contract with American Home Shield. This is what I believe and this is what I’m standing on, this is why I am changing my rating to one star only because no stars are not an option. Avoid this company at all...

UPDATE:
As long-time customers of On-Time, this experience has been particularly frustrating. The heat pump they installed has worked great for 2 years, even passing their own follow-up inspection. However, shortly after the installation, I noticed our whole-home humidifier wasn't working properly. I mentioned this during a follow-up call from On-Time, but my concerns were dismissed.
This year, I had their technician examine the humidifier as I didn't want to handle it myself. They incorrectly diagnosed it as needing replacement and quoted $900. With help from an HVAC friend, we discovered the real issue was simply incorrect wiring from the original heat pump installation. I ended up fixing it myself, spending $200 and 4-6 hours of my time unnecessarily.
As loyal customers, it's disappointing that our concerns were ignored and the problem was misdiagnosed, leading to wasted time and money on an issue their installation team created. While the heat pump itself is performing well, this experience has damaged our confidence in...
Read moreSeemed way pricy for what little was done. Thought I was getting an estimate on a part inside tankless water heater and paying to snake a drain. Neither happened as determined wasn't needed. Part wasn't dripping at time of visit and when we added hot water to the drain it went down pretty well. Although I understand I am paying for the years of knowledge and expertise (and he did take the cover off the heater which counts I guess as taking something apart) at the same time I feel confident I would have paid less if I went through another plumber. Brought him my tools to use as he didn't have his on him (other than his flashlight). They were most certainly on time. The gentleman was very nice. His iPad was extremely slow in uploading photos. Visit might have been completed in 30 minutes if that would have worked better. $302 for 1 hour and nothing major done is a steeper than I expected. I do appreciate both concerns being responded to in a timely fashion, to not have the worry weighing on me, to have someone that answered my questions on a weekend and they were on time. I have no idea what it would have cost to snake the drain to compare to, nor what the part would have cost. My recommendation is try to ask pricing up front. Everyone I have spoken to thinks I got overcharged...
