We gave HuHot a second chance this evening. We REALLY wanted it to be good. The salads came out and the lettuce was transparent and brown. When I said something to the waitress she took the salad and showed the Asst. General manager. He never came over and apologized, or acknowledge the bad salad. Our waitress asked if we wanted soup or something else. So we said a 4 piece Crab Rangoon. (It was also horrible, not cooked all the way.) When going through the buffet many foods where mixed in with each other. The sauce bar was a huge mess. No one out wiping things down. I asked the gentleman that was shown our salads if he was the manager. He replied, “I am the Asst. General Manager” Oh “general manager”. I explained we came in giving them a second chance because last time we came it was so bad. We talk about the salads and how they can out. He said,” well I can’t see all the food that comes out of the kitchen!” I said, this is where you have a kitchen manager to watch these things. But, the fact you have any employee sending out salad that looked that bad, what else are they not caring about or noticing? I asked him if he would discount the meal to take off the salads. He said no, because the salads are free with the meal. Free? You don’t count the salads in with the cost of the buffet? (I didn’t get a picture of the salad because our waitress took them as soon as she brought them out and we saw the lettuce)
We then get our ticket. We are charged for the Crab Rangoon. 🥴 I had to speak with him again to explain our waitress asked if she could get us soup or something else since the salads were bad. He did take it off. We had one soda. He couldn’t even comp the drink! That I never had a refill on.
When I saw the rug laying at the door where customers walk in and the place had a bad smell I knew we should had left then. The walls had splattered food on them. Went to the restroom to wash my hands before eating and the bathroom was gross & smelt!
The AGM definitely needs training how to walk around a restaurant and check on his guest, make sure the place is clean. He stood at the hostess stand seating people the entire time we were there. We will never go back to...
Read moreAbsolutely love this place. I try to go once a week at least. The variety is great, everyone is nice, and you can get as many bowls as you want for one low price, especially for lunch.
They don't even mind if you fill two bowls to have more room for stuff, and then they'll combine it for you on to one plate.
The value is incredible for the amazing delicious food you get. They have so many sauces to choose from and the chefs will cook it for less time or extra time or anything you prefer.
I've been to bd's (a competitor) as well, and THEY really try to make it super expensive to have the unlimited option, and they really push their appetizers and milk you for every dollar you have. One time they even tried to charge me for two unlimiteds somehow because I went up twice. Even if you get the unlimited, they only give you one bowl to fill at a time. Their sauces are a lot thicker and it's harder to make sure you don't use too much. You don't actually get to see them cook your food so you have to make sure you tell them not to overcook it and then trust them. You also have to make sure they don't put rice in your food if you don't want it. They often do overcook your food or accidentally put rice in it anyway. One time when they put rice in my food and I didn't want it, they offered to not charge me for the unlimited and only charge me for one bowl and let me go up again. But when I went up again after THAT, even though they knew I wanted unlimited in the first place, they told me they would have to charge me for the unlimited all over again. Durrrrrr. When you tip there, they start shouting "tip tip hooray" and it's really embarrassing.
Here at HuHot though they just have a little tip jar and they'll thank you really low key if they see you tip. Rice is also always offered separately but still comes with your meal and is not an extra charge. You also get to watch them cook your food right in front of you.
So definitely give HuHot your business and skip bd's! HuHot is about amazing food, while bd's is all about being kind of flashy, gimmicky, and squeezing as much money out of you...
Read more😙😋HELLO ALL!! Today I had the unique pleasure of going to Manhatten Ks with one of my closest highschool friends (THX A.C.J.!) More specifically the Mongolian grill called HuHot in Manhattans mall! Their food is Stir-Fry. I'm not sure how to describe it best but basically Stir-Fry is noodles with meat and veggies cooked on a grill (HuHots grill is flat and circular). HuHot offers a wide variety of veggies, meats and noodles! They also have sizeable assortment of sauces (spicy and not), the staff suggests at least 5 scoops of sauce total for every bowl but this is not mandatory as I recall. For those of you who love veggies, HuHot also offers Zucchini noodles! The tables and booths were clean and WELL sanitized. The bathroom looked clean and tidy. The beautiful waitress that ACJ and I had was very helpful in describing the way to set up our own bowls to be cooked. Basically it's noodles then meat followed by veggies and finally sauce.i had about 3 bowls worth of food and loved every bite! They may also offer alcohol but I'm unsure since I just ordered root beer! Lol 😆 HuHot is a buffet and the average price for adults is about 12 bucks. I know! A LITTLE pricey but if u can handle that it is a fantastic meal!
