We've ordered delivery through their website many times over the past few years, and while I generally like their food, the service is not great. Tonight, for the 3rd time out of ~40 orders, an item was missing. We don't ever have large orders, usually 2 sandwiches and 2 kids meals, so I'm always kind of surprised when this has happened (easier to understand with 20+ items maybe?).
Anyway, tonight they left out my 6yo's sandwich, so I called them. Long story short, the manager was reluctant to deliver the sandwich and only offered a refund. I mean, I get it... it costs money to re-deliver a $5.00 kids sandwich. I understand why a business would hope to just say "oh, sorry, here's your money back". But from my perspective, I paid a big delivery fee and the cost of this food to feed my family. And I didn't get that. Paying me back the $5 for the sandwich doesn't really address the delivery fee or the fact that I still have a hungry kid I need to feed.
After a little back and forth, I basically said "dude, come on you're killin me?!", and then he agreed to deliver it. He even said he'd send a desert along with it for the trouble. Cool.
But then it took another hour to get the sandwich (the place is

I ended up ordering a French Dip. I'm always a sucker for one when I see it on a menu. It's also my go to at McAllister's. It was phenomenal like usual. I'm not sure what they do with their roast beef here, but it's always got the best flavor. The melted provolone atop the meat, along with the fresh bread, it's hard to go wrong. The Au Jus is simple. Basically beef broth. But delicious to dip your sandwich in. The Mac and Cheese was basic, but super creamy. Pretty heavy on the stomach so I didn't end up finishing it. I did also order a sweet tea. McAllister's is supposed to be famous for their teas. Let's just say, it could use a tad bit more sugar. All in all, I really enjoyed McAlister's a ton. I remember why I used to love this place.
P.S. Don't let the foodie community guilt you into only eating at small, family owned restaurants. There's nothing wrong with hitting up a chain every once in awhile. I mean, there's a reason places like McAlister's stay busy....

Important Update, March 16th 2020.... after we submitted this review, Corporate headquarters contacted us and let us know that they were checking into the issue. They then provided coupons for two meals so that we could go back and try them a second time. We have been out of town and could not go back until today. Very glad we did. Everything was fantastic. Service still awesome, and food was flawless. For this reason I have removed the negative pics and added fresh pics and videos. It is now one of my favorite places. Thank you team, good job.
Our first visit. The service at the counter and at our table was very good. Very clean eating area. My chicken jalapeno crunch sandwich was great, the chicken salad was great also EXCEPT for all of the wilted lettuce on them. One of the signs in the store tells of "Crisp Greens" Woops! Check out the photos. We will try them again, maybe it was just a bad day, the greens were not crisp at all, they had brown wilted...
