Texas Roadhouse — Restaurant in Wichita

Want to be fat shamed? Go ahead and go to this restaurant! My family and myself did the wait list for about 1 & a half hr which we understood but the "table" we were given was a booth were all big and some tall lol we nicely asked to be seated at the table behind us where it was a half booth with chairs the gal didn't catch her name stated no that table is specifically for a party reservation that we needed to go back to the front. OK we went to the front I asked can u let me know how much more time until we're seated we've already waited 1 & a half hr she said I'm just a server you can go ask the front desk I asked her pls go figure it out for us she instead went and got a "manager" manager didn't know what to say or do she just told us give me a minute I'll be back never came back but had a gentleman in a blue shirt come to us. We let him know the issue that shouldn't have been an issue we just requested the table behind the booth she was seating us at we turn around and a walk in party is sitting at the table we requested to be seated at... the server lied to us and the gentleman manager acknowledge the lie the server made. I was so disappointed I've been a server I've been in customer service for years I would never lie to someone like that or even make them feel like that when things could have been figured out quickly. We do thank our server Wesley! Top notch customer service but it won't make up for how it made us all feel for sure won't be back to this location sad because it's one of my favorite...

Called in hours early for a party of 12 for a birthday. Was told we would be split between 2 tables next to each other, which we said was perfectly fine since the tables would be next to each other. The first half of our party was seated while the other half was left to wait & we obviously assumed they would be brought back to the table next to ours that was completely empty. When my husband went to check on the other half of our party, they had been seated on the complete opposite side of the restaurant, so we asked our waitress if they could be moved to the table next to us & she said yes no problem. Our waitress came back a few minutes later & said they couldn't be moved because they had already ordered their food (which we found out was untrue, they had actually told the rest of our party that there was only room for 3 more people with us & there were 4 of them, so they didn't move because they were told the table wasn't big enough for them even though the table that was empty sat 6 people, not only 3 or 4)....so half of our daughter's birthday party guests didn't get to see her or have dinner with us because they were on the opposite side of the restaurant for no reason. My first time here and it was great. They had papers posted about closing early at 8pm for a yearly meeting, we arrived at 7:10pm. They were very packed and busy but still took our names down. We waited about 15 - 20 minutes (give or take) before our name was called and we were seated. It was our friend's Birthday dinner but per request we kept that quiet from staff. Our waitress, Stephanie, was very pleasant. It has been a long time since I've gone to a restaurant to eat, even longer since I've had a waiter or waitress that didn't seem like they hate their jobs and just serve you enough to get by. Stephanie was great, very pleasant to chat with. Even though she was super busy, she checked on us often, topped off drinks without having to be flagged down. The food came out at a reasonable time after order and it was very good. We all got steak and potatoes of some kind. The steaks were cooked perfectly and tasted great. The staff were cleaning as they were closing and it was after 8pm when we left. Never once did we feel rushed or pushed out. Sorry we arrived late on a day you closed early, we didn't know till we arrived. It was our friend's Birthday wish for some Texas roadhouse and he was not disappointed.
