this reflection has nothing to do with the store itself or any other store or workers in any other cabelas except wichita....i dont know how other cabelas are run but the ones that work here have some SERIOUS profileing issues that need to be exposed and fixed...i can see w hy some people might have no problems with the workers, .....if u look a certain way...but just like walmart i get profiled the moment a worker spots me im guessin before i get to an isle because they get aggresivly disrespectivly too helpful..and what i mean is they are so focused on me that like this one guy by the gun section has got every question wrong i have asked him everytime i been in therr but he sure acted as if the question he answered was right and hurried up to leave my presents only to be in every gun isle i went. i been there at least 4 times that i seen and asked him things that were so completly wrong that now i am getting these looks cuz i have to return every freaking thing i belived him about. its starting to piss me off to the point i am starting to take it personal ESPECIALY when i went to return something and the retards say its such a big ticket item that they cany give that much in cash...i told them i have ths other part of the recipt, i used my freaking bank card, i had my id and the card, the recipt i gave them was the main part , had the date, my card number and the racist , profilers tell me they can only do card and if they knew that i was gonna spend most if not all of it there anyway just not right then cuz they was about to close? really?!! dude then so i hurry and try to get somethings cuz i not only took back what i had cuz it wasnt working but because that and i was gonna use some of what was supposed to go on my card on dogfood..but i didnt argue so i just figured i would try what i rushed to get that night then return what didnt fit what i was gonna try..the same thing happened the next time..then i noticed some worker stocking the shelves with bullets and he didnt realizs i saw him taks stuff off the shelves only to put them back on like i didnt see him....theres so many of kinds of this kinda behavior that someone needs to fix this before they learn the hardway...i dont steal and i am a vet , but i look young and may not dress all fancy so im pretty sure they profiling , cuz if not then there is something that needs to change cuz...
Read moreI will NOT be doing business with Cabela’s ever again. I went to purchase a firearm, and I have been trying for 3 days. Here is my story.
Starting off, I had answered a question that became a red flag. Due to that, they told me to contact KBI to get a record of my background. I had to pay $20 out of my pocket to do so. After doing so, I returned to the store. Everything went okay, they ran my background, they saw my record was true and clear. But even when I brought in the KBI record, they questioned me again and acted hesitant if they would take what I was told to bring in. They told me they wouldn’t look up my record on KBI, and that is why I had to pay out of my pocket for my record. I was told that night, I was approved for the gun but I was still red flagged in the Cabela’s system so they’d have to get IT to unflag me. So, I went home again with no firearm.
The following day, I had called to see when IT would have that cleared so I could return and pick up my firearm. Everyone in the IT department was at lunch along with the person who would directly talk to IT in the firearm department, so they took my info to call me back. I called again later on, HOURS later, and was told they’d give me a call back.
The General Manager ended up calling me saying that they had a few questions regarding the “people who came in with me”. I had my two young kids, which obviously I don’t want to take to a big store like that by myself. My HUSBAND came with me the first day we ran into problems. The following night, my kids and my husband’s best friend came with me and my kids. He was shopping for my son’s birthday present. They questioned me about them both and said it was suspicious and that their team had told the manager I had came in with different people. They questioned if the gun was even mine. Then I had told him I was told the last night I was approved and waiting on IT, and he told me I was told wrong. So their team is NOT on the same page because I had talked to the manager Terry in the back, multiple people who work at the counter, and the GM. Because of the suspicion and “obstacles” we had to go through they weren’t willing to sell me a gun. Read moreTo say that I am disappointed is a complete understatement. I went online for Black Friday and got a deal on a rangefinder. I actually opened a credit card for further savings and paid for the item. The next day I was sent an email which I nonetheless didn’t see until later when said item was suppose to be ready for pick up and I find out my order had been cancelled due to them running out. Now one would think that any smart and big business would have a way to prevent this from happening but no not here. I called customer service upset and was hung up n once and both people were foreigners and somewhat difficult to understand. Furthermore, customer service call quality was not good as though they were over seas as well. The second person I spoke with did actually try to help but after an hour and trying two other items with a discount to “attempt” to somewhat honor the deal I got both items said they were available and once going to checkout one even moments later then said unavailable. I was then offered a $20 gift card for my troubles which is little compared to the $50+ I was saving ordering the item. I would of been more than happy to pay more for a better quality item if they would at least still honor the money I was going to be saving on the deal I got. In my opinion if they don’t want to honor it then they shouldn’t of offered it in the first place. Now I have a credit card and honestly don’t think I will EVER deal with them again after this.
