â 1-Star Google Review Location: Pizza Hut â 1877 W 21st Street North Date of Visit: Thursday, July 18th, 2025
We placed our order through the Pizza Hut app at 6:51 PM, and it said it would be ready by 7:11 PM. We arrived at 7:20 PM, giving them almost 30 minutesâbut the wings werenât even cooked yet. There were no cars in the drive-thru, but also no one at the window for several minutes.
When a young man finally opened the window, my husband (understandably frustrated) said âFinally.â The associate got visibly irritated, asked for our name, then left and returned with a very smug tone, saying the wings werenât ready and we had to pull forward and wait. Then he slammed the window shutâwith no apology, no explanation, nothing.
We sat there confused. We had given them nearly 30 minutes from the time of ordering, and somehow our wings werenât even cooked? And instead of a simple apology or explanation, we were met with what felt like punishment for daring to ask about our order.
Then a young woman named Desiree came to the window and did what no one else had: she explained they were very busy, apologized for the delay, and tried to make things right. Desiree was professional, respectful, and clearly trying to cover for a team that wasnât supporting her.
I asked to speak to a manager. She went back in and returned saying that the managersâHope, Jonnie, and Christiâwouldn't come to talk to us, because the store is very busy. That was incredibly disappointing. We didnât want a fightâwe just wanted a little respect and basic communication.
Have to admit that Desiree got the managers approval to credit us back the price of the wings, but seems like we weren't much more than $8 important to them .
Finally, Wilder (the same young man from before) brought the food and handling it to Desiree couldnât resist adding a sarcastic comment, something like âSince theyâre so impatientâŚâ It was rude, uncalled for, and unprofessional. His attitude throughout made an already poor experience worse.
This visit couldâve been saved with one simple apology or acknowledgment of the delay. Instead, we were met with rudeness and a total lack of accountabilityâexcept from Desiree, who deserves recognition for stepping up when her team, including management, didnât.
If Pizza Hut corporate sees this, I hope they retrain Wilder and seriously consider promoting Desiree. Sheâs a 5-star employee working in a 1-star environment.
Also,If anyone at Pizza Hut would like to follow up, I would be happy to provide further details. I truly hope this leads to some improvements at...
Read moreI had one of their employees try to fight me in the parking lot, by Goodwill on North Amidon. I was leaving the parking lot, and there was a truck parked diagnoly in the first parking area, and I couldn't see around it. I was cautiously edging forward to try to see around him, when a Pizza Delivery driver in an ORANGE JEEP RENEGADE, came flying through the parking lot, we nearly collided, but I saw her, and was able to stop. She then parks in front of me, blocking me in, and proceeded to keep me sitting there for five minutes, all while yelling profanities at me, and trying to fight me. That's when I noticed the Pizza Hut sign on the top of her vehicle. I pointed out the sign, and then grabbed my phone, that's when she finally moved, so I could get out. I drove to Pizza Hut, and called to talk to the shift manager. She assured me that this employee would be talked to and dealt with. Well, imagine my surprise when driving by that Pizza Hut, and seeing her jeep parked in front, with the sign on top of her vehicle, THE VERY NEXT DAY. How have they dealt with her, if she's still allowed to drive around with their advertisement on top of her car? This behavior is unacceptable, and she shouldn't be allowed to continue delivering pizzas for them. If she did this to me, she probably does it to a lot of people. She needs to be fired, or at the very least, NEVER allowed to deliver to anyone! She sets a terrible example, and should not be representing...
Read moreBefore they moved, it was always good eats. Since they moved, it's been hit or miss. Since they have moved, we have dined in a couple times and ordered carryout a couple times. One of each was very good, one of each was very lacking. On the takeout order, the crusts were very dense and flat (I suspected frozen, pre-made dough), and there was very little cheese which made it very crispy instead of melted and stretchy like it usually is. After complaining to them, they did send us a coupon for a free large pizza. When we dinner in, it wasn't as bad, but the crust still seemed frozen. They have improved since then, however, and are getting back to their old yumminess of before they moved across the street. That being said, I'm not a fan of the new dine in location. The tables are already very wobbly and the entire dining room just seems very cheaply put together. If you order more than a single medium pizza for a table of four, there isn't hardly room on the table for plates. There is plenty of room in the dining room. They could have done a lot more with it...
