I’ve eaten at the Cafe Villa Nova multiple times over the years when I’m staying in Wildwood Crest. The menu has a lot of variety and I’ve never had a bad meal there because the food has always been delicious and very filling at a great price point.
Whenever we go there for breakfast we’re always fortunate to have Natalie as our server. She’s always pleasant, friendly and most importantly, she’s always hustling and attentive in serving her customers.
As for the atmosphere, the place is a bit outdated but that’s ok, because the food and waitress service is wonderful. All the condiments on the table are Walmart brand, which isn’t the best quality. They could do better if they used Heinz products and had better table napkins. Though I do believe it has changed owners or management several times in the last few years which may have led to the lower quality condiments etc.
Overall, I’d recommend Cafe Villa Nova if you’re staying in the Wildwoods. The great service and the delicious food make this place...
Read moreA sign in the window advertises iced lattes and it's also listed on the menu. Wife ordered it with caramel and got a black iced coffee with caramel. When we told the server she asked "What's the difference?" We told her lattes are a milk based beverage with espresso, she said "Oh, no. We don't have" and shrugged it off when we pointed it out on their menu. We both had toast with our breakfasts and not only did they not butter it, but we had to ask for butter. When they brought it, it was ice cold and hard as a rock. And of course the toast had cooled by then. I've NEVER been to a diner were they didn't butter the toast straight out of the toaster. Hash browns were definitely UNDER cooked. Wife said the ladie's room door didn't lock and there were no paper towels. The pot coffee was strong enough to eat the paint off a car and service was super slow. Putting this place on the "Not Going Back" List. Oh yeah.... another sign in the window says "ice cream", but don't waste your time looking for...
Read moreTerrible choice to eat. Soggy pancakes, soggy waffle, ungrateful staff and ownership. It seemed like a hassle to place an order. Very unwelcoming. The food was so bad my son did not even want to finish the waffle nor the pancakes.. requested water and an oj, with whipped cream on the waffle. All we got was the oj. We wanted to eat outside, as covid cases are spiking nationwide; this all was met with an unwelcoming manner. They packed all the slop into styrofoam containers with foil lined inside, which no doubt led to the extra sogginess of everything included... poor management, poor execution, extremely poor service. Too bad I can't leave the stars at ZERO. If you're looking to be duped paying for a meal that's garbage then this is your place. Take...
