Might be the worst Wawa in NJ. I was in this Wawa and placed my order for a hoagie at 11:25pm. It was pretty busy so I expected a longer than usual wait. After waiting for a bit and still seeing about 15 people waiting I took notice that there was only one person making the food orders. At 11:50 I saw a person place a drink order. A second clerk went behind the coffee counter and made the fancy drink. After seeing this I had boiled over and told the man he should be helping the kid making the food instead of making a drink order for someone who just came in. I had been waiting now 25 minutes and some people longer so it wasn't fair to those of us waiting. He tried telling me he was doing the job he was supposed to be doing. I told him he wasn't doing his job as he made one fancy drink in the now 30 minutes I had been waiting while the other guy was struggling with an enormous food backlog. I don't know if Juan is the manager but he definitely wasn't on top of things. In any event the smaller Wawa's always get the poor performing managers and this one is no different. I finally got my order at 12:10, 45 minutes after placing it. Note to self - avoid this Wawa and go to Rio Grande Ave or Spruce Ave. Or any food establishment...
Read moreTerrible service! I ordered breakfast on app to make sure it was ready to grab and go but of course order wasn’t ready. My coffee was done sitting on counter getting cold. Then I was looked at like I had 10 heads when I asked about my order. I gave my name and then they asked me every single thing that I ordered opposed to looking under my name and seeing what I ordered. Very unprofessional. One girl very helpful and seem to be running around doing everyone else’s job was great. Everyone else could care less about the customer, including the female deli worker I spoke with first who was very unpleasant and not helpful at all. They just put my order in the oven now and I have to wait another 10 minutes in this super busy store. Exactly what I didn’t want and my reasonings for ordering ahead. Get it together, Wawa.
Update* to make my experience even worse when I got back to the hotel, because the breakfast was so rushed by Wawa, the bagels were all broken on the sandwiches as well as being stale and burned egg and cheese. Not sure how Wawa has stale bagels, but this is day number two of experiencing stale bagels from that specific Wawa. At least yesterday, my order was ready...
Read moreI'm a fan of Wawa. I've noticed over the last couple of years the options have dwindled when ordering from the app. You can't customize your breakfast sandwiches or burritos like you could in the past. You can't choose the type of cheese, etc. Today when I picked up my bacon egg and cheese croissant at the scheduled 8 AM pick up time, it was waiting for me at the food pickup area in a nice paper handle bag. I walked back to my place, and while I was eating the sandwich, I was put off by the stale croissant, thin floppy bacon, and overall old tasting vibe. I realized there was a sticker on the box my sandwich came in that was stamped with the date and the time. The time stamp said 6:45 AM. My sandwich was up before I was this morning. It was over an hour old. If I wanted a heat lamp sandwich, I would not have ordered from the app. I'm probably late to the party, and I'm thinking maybe a lot of other people realized this some time ago, but I felt compelled to share. Stick with ordering items that allow...
