This was a last minute decision to stay for 3 nights (Thurs thru Sun) in August. After reading many reviews and hearing many horror stories from many guests of the hotels and motels, we decided on the Premiere Hotel. It was the best decision we made!!! The management staff is top notch (Patty, Chris, and Cesar). They were extremely accommodating, friendly, listened to client's needs, and stayed on top of the needs of the guests. We were in a fourth floor room (which was recently renovated) with 2 rooms, a bathroom, and a private balcony. I believe all the rooms have a private balcony. There were 3 double beds. During our stay, we had great maid service. The room was automatically cleaned daily with fresh clean sheets and an ample supply of towels and washcloths. The beds were very comfortable and the room was very clean!!! The AC worked great, sometimes too great with the room getting cold! There was great water pressure and no problems with ever having hot water. The upper level pool was extremely clean, but a bit cold. My wife liked the cold pool water, but I would prefer it a bit warmer. The views from the pool area are awesome! Great views of the ocean, Morey's Pier, Atlantic Ave, and Friday night fireworks. The pool lounge chairs have all been updated and are very nice. The hotel was built in the 1970's and is going through an update. However, the owners are very accommodating and striving to update and improve the overall quality and look of the hotel. The parking lot is a bit of a challenge. The parking spots are a bit tight, but manageable. I would prefer if the spots were a bit wider to accommodate today's bigger and wider vehicles. This motel is diagonal from The Old City Pub and has a live band every night which can easily be heard from the hotel's balcony. It is like getting a free concert every night. The bands tend to be very good. I hear the food at the Old City Pub is very good, but we did not try it during our stay. The band stops around 10:30 pm nightly. The front desk is open 24 hours. Currently, the hotel is a bit old school using real door keys, having a room key deposit, and manually writing your reservation on a paper ticket. You will find very little technology here, but I think they will get there soon with the newer, younger owners at the helm. There are flat screen TVs in the room that use Xfinity HDMI boxes, but they can be confusing to use. Most people will need a techy person in your group to get the the TV on/off and to scan channels.
Overall, this is a great hotel when compared to some of the other hotels in the Wildwood area. My wife and I were pleasantly surprised, had a very nice time, and would definitely stay here again!!! Great job to the hotel staff in making our stay...
Read moreEach summer we stay here and have always loved the premier. The last 2 summers we were not able to get down tho and wow did things change! I was always told it was OK to leave our car parked after Check out so we can hit the beach for the day but this time the woman at the desk gave me a bit of an attitude when I asked her. I informed the staff that my parking sign had flew out of the window the night before when we were driving back from dinner and apparently it’s a huge deal to get another one. They did not replace it and threw some shade when I informed them again that I had lost it. The view of the ocean we once had from the roof top pool is now obstructed by 2 new taller buildings being constructed. The room had no air in the bedroom. Beds were super uncomfortable. Rooms were not very clean and did not have any house keeping service at all. The first night we spent we asked for 2 extra pillows but was told I could only have 1 bc they didn’t have anymore and it was basically flat. When we booked the room We requested a roll away bed for our 17 yr old son and they said absolutely. When we arrived however it was discovered to be an air mattress (maybe) and not until 9pm when Cesar would be there. We went to retrieve the air mattress and Cesar laughed and said he wasn’t sure why we were promised that bc the 2 they had go flat immediately after one lays on it.
Also the private balcony was a plus BUT it did not have a screen at all (which was also the bedroom with no air conditioning). It was hot! We asked if there was anything they could do & we were given dirty box fans 😡 — we asked if we could switch rooms (even smaller rooms as long as the ac worked and we had a bed for everyone in our family) but we were told they were booked. There were 4 cars in the parking lot our entire stay and looked to have many open rooms. Very disappointed and will be the last time we stay at the premier when visiting wildwood.
Also only 1 outlet worked and it would buzz and flicker the lights. One outlet even sparked and fried my...
Read moreI stayed here with some friends for a weekend and we all could not have been more pleased. First of all, it took us forever to find a motel in Wildwood that rented rooms to people under 25, so the Premiere was a lifesaver. For anyone wondering, their policy is a $100 security deposit for each guest under 25.
The staff here were one of the main highlights of the stay. Chris at the desk was so pleasant, from the initial reservation on the phone to the check out process. She made us feel so welcome, always asking us if we needed anything and how we were enjoying our time in Wildwood. The housekeeper, Miriam, did an impeccable job making our room every day, honestly better than some more expensive hotels I’ve been to. Caesar was also extremely friendly our entire stay, greeting us every morning and asking if we needed anything. Truly a phenomenal crew.
The room itself was freshly updated and extremely clean upon arrival. All of the furniture looked and felt new, especially the beds, which were very comfortable. Bathroom was clearly a little on the older side, but very clean nonetheless. The balcony was also very enjoyable in the evenings. The bar diagonal to the hotel frequently had outdoor live music, and the corner location is great for people watching:) The rooftop pool was unfortunately closed for repairs when we went, but looked like it would be very inviting when operational.
If I had to give one negative, it is that our faucets didn’t have aerators, so you had to be careful turning on the water due to the increased pressure. However, this honestly wasn’t a big deal to us, so we just dealt with it for the duration of our stay. Another thing worth noting is that they only supply soap, no shampoo, so plan on bringing some.
All in all, we had a fantastic stay, and would definitely book here again due to the age policy, prime location, and the generous hospitality we received. Truly one of the best motels I’ve stayed at...
