Diplomat Suites — Hotel in Wildwood

Took me a few days to gather myself from the terrible experience I had at the diplomat suite. My poor host was great! Room was absolutely beautiful. I have rented off them before. Location is truly amazing. So convenient especially when traveling with little kids. Additional parking up the street. Located at the middle pier. Perfect which is why I chose this for my son’s 2nd birthday party.

I was pretty much ran out of there my last night after a long 7 hour day at the beach with family. With 3 kids under 7. Definitely was not safe after all the packing and putting together this birthday for my son. Our family came from all over for me to share a bit of my childhood with them. I grew up always coming to wildwood. And NEVER been treated like we did the other night. I have such a pit in my stomach that i don’t think I’ll ever return.

You guys really ruined so much for me. That was so traumatizing you guys had my children in tears. I cried my entire ride home which was hours away.

The diplomat suite discriminated against us. They harassed my husband. When all we were trying to do was change and go on the boardwalk to meet with everyone. So many people stood out in the halls giving us a hard time for cleaning our beach stuff. Said we were having too many people staying when all we did was meet to change and leave. The HOA peeked her head into our condo to see how many people were inside when we were inside changing! My husband asked multiple times to be left alone. To have some space and for everyone to just mind their business. He was so uncomfortable and then this women invaded our privacy. My husband did at some point use the “f” word.

After getting clothes on I finally came outside. Talked to the women. Asked if I broke any rules she said no. So I didn’t understand the issue. She spoke on my husband as if he was an animal. Saying he “threatened her” when I asked what he said she said he said the “f” word. I then told her he was with me and we paid to be there and her mouth dropped and then proceeded to speak as if he was a scary dangerous black man. Told me to be careful. Told me she was going to call the cops bc he said the “f” word. But said she’s just going to report us.

She accused us of taking more than one parking spot. She claims she had all these complaints from the first floor. In the entire time we were there the most we did was check in prepare for the party go to sleep. Woke up made hoagies and left to the beach. So why my husband was being blamed for all these things that had nothing to do with us.

The HOA and other tenants waited on the third floor watching us while we packed the car to leave. She did not go inside until she knew we were leaving.

Black and Hispanic families especially with little kids. We unfortunately are not safe here and not welcomed at all.

Bunch of people that are bored sitting around trying to create problems for people that spend months to go on vacation with their families. Extremely inconsiderate. Rude....

Been coming to Wildwood since my childhood with my parents and always stayed at the Diplomat. My children who are now grown have been here there entire childhood. I’m currently here and this has been a nightmare! My room had no wash clothes in the room and we had to wait till someone came to the front desk after 9am just to get clothes and also an Iron. When we came in the room we immediately went to the fridge just to be overcome with the smell of bleach coming out of it. We have a daughter who has Angelman syndrome and needs her drinks and meds placed in the fridge but we couldn’t out of fear of the fumes. We then went into the bed room to be greeted by a filthy door screen sitting on the side of the bed. If that’s laying there how can i be sure my room is clean. This is a nightmare and after over 30 year of coming here and enjoying wildwood that tradition has died this year. Did I mention that none of the remotes work for the TV smh.....||My wife spoke to management just to be meant with we know who cleans the room and she’s great. Not saying she isn’t but they didn’t wanna address the issue at all. I’m not sure if management changed over the years but that family feel is gone and wouldn’t suggest anyone to visit here....
