Updating my review June 2025: stayed here again as I got a great deal. The hotel was nearly empty as it was not prime time summer yet. A lot of the issues I had picked out before have been addressed which is great to see. There are now coffee pots in the room, ice machines on each floor, and pictures in the rooms. Elevator floor and rugs looked in good shape. Beds were still excellent, everything was clean, and towels were plenty. There was some flawed construction in our room around the shower with a piece separating from the shower wall, but did not affect anything. This time we had a room for six people. No stove. No pots and pans. The table only sits four. What surprised me is there is no door to close on the bedroom I'm assuming that's because the A/C comes from the bedroom into the rest of the room. Valet was not running most of our stay. Yippee! The two things I really dislike here are wearing the silly wristbands and valet. Also pool hours are not good (close at 6 pm M-T, 8 pm Fri-Sun)
Original review 2023: Well, there's good and bad. First the good- rooms are spacious, everything was pretty clean and new. Dressers and tables sturdy. Beds comfortable. The front desk people are polite, valet people helpful. Pool area is nice, cabana nice but expensive. This is honestly the nicest place that we have stayed down here because of its newness.
Now the bad- there were no pots and pans in the room. They had to be asked for. It takes hours to get them, too. Table settings and silverware, there is not enough. Seats at table, only six. (Our room for 8) no coffee pot in room because they want you to buy coffee downstairs. NO ice machines, or even ice cube trays. Really not much of anything to cook with like we had planned, the whole point of getting this room! Bring your own stuff! Valet parking is a bit of a nightmare. Valet employees are great but it's a terrible set up. Not enough luggage carts for hotel. Also just sucks having to wait for your keys every time. The walls are thin, construction is horribly done. Floors are creaky where they are not level. We thought maybe an old building was renovated, but this is freshly constructed. Carpet popping up already in the hallway. There are no decorations on the walls in the room, very plain. There needs to be door stoppers and more towel racks. There was a hole left in the wall for an outlet, seemingly forgotten. The air situation is not adequate to reach living/dining/kitchen area. Toilet seats are so very cheap just waiting to break. The few towel racks there are ready to fall out of the wall. The bar on the pool deck has many gaps and nails showing. Boards are not well aligned. Housekeeping turned up beds but that's about it. Floors were sandy entire visit. Had to ask for new towels, also not provided enough towels for our crew at the beginning of our stay. Had to ask for more toilet paper and garbage bags. We put our own trash in the hall each day. Big gaps on stairs leading out to pool...again terrible construction. I'm not sure how they passed code. Drywall so thin. A year from now I would expect many holes in the walls from doorknobs, light pressure to walls, and occasional bumps. The flooring is cheap and poorly affixed in the elevator. It is already wearing. Also, didn't get bedding for pullout bed until hours later. Any ask of front desk staff takes a long time, although they are very polite. Understandably short staffed. There are no menus in rooms, even for the restaurant that's in the hotel. I was unable to find their menu online when I looked. We did not end up eating there.
I forgot the washing machine sounded horrible in the beginning of the cycle! You could feel the drum hitting the walls of the machine. It was not overfilled and it appears new, but it sounded like it's ready to fall apart. The remainder of the cycle was more normal.
So, over $2300 for 4 nights, this was not good value unfortunately. The place is beautiful but with many unfinished touches and unfortunately appears quickly thrown together. See video below showing...
Read moreThis place is beautiful and by far one of the nicest hotels on the island. It hasn’t been open long so they have some real kinks to work out and hopefully they do because mostly everyone I met in 2 days says they will not return. I normally never stay in wildwood and only stay in north wildwood or crest. Decided to give this place a shot. Upon arrival So many upset and frustrated guests at front desk complaining and staff visibly overwhelmed. Suggestion; you need more than one person at check in time. At least 3. You have to use valet which was completely backed up with arrivals. There was one guy working the valet and people standing around to check in and also ones waiting on their vehicles in order to go off premises. That should not be happening. The rooms are spacious and beautiful. Our room was visibly very clean. They advertise free shuttle service to the other seaport destinations. We called for shuttle to seaport pier and no one ever showed up. We walked instead. Coffee shop in lobby is a great feature if someone actually showed up to work it. So you’ll have to walk 2 blocks to wawa for coffee. The on site pool is very nice and also has potential but is a disaster. Babies in diapers in pool. Actual sludge on the perimeter tiles of the pool which means it’s not being scrubbed. Very limited lounge chairs so you had many upset people. Found out that they allow outside people to come Use the pool for 10.00 So with that you have hotel patrons (who paid a lot of money )with no place to sit or swim. There’s open cabanas you can rent LOL for 500. No thanks. Not for a wildwood pool with 10.00 local patrons for the day. Not a single rented cabana. Maybe place more lounge chairs instead because no one coming here is renting those lol and especially not the folks paying 10 bux to sit in the pool. You must consider your clientele and you are definitely not attracting the ones willing to pay 500 plus for a cabana. I want to give kudos to the staff who is working so hard trying to hold it together. This place needs to have several upper management level people on site for a place this new to ensure smooth operation. As beautiful as the place is it ends there. This will take a nose dive if someone doesn’t...
Read moreNOT WORTH $500 PER NIGHT... I never write reviews... but, I was SO disappointed!! This is described as a brand new "luxury" hotel, and it was NOT!! We stayed on the 2nd floor for 4nights in July 2023. The rooms were perfect, but that's where it ends!! Staff was friendly, helpful and welcoming but Management was horrible! The first night the noise from above was horrific. I informed the front desk that the room above ours sounded like someone was playing basketball and was told that I was the second person to complain about the noise coming from the 3rd floor and they would take care of it. The second night, again... pounding on the ceiling from above. I went back to front desk at 2 AM, but this time I had security come to my room to hear the noise. They went to the 3rd floor to investigate. Security came back to my room and told me the people in the room above admitted to the noise, were sorry and they would stop... that did NOT happen. Third night same thing... why bother complaining, it does NOTHING!! Management (Susan, Manager) knew about the compaints and did NOTHING!! Our room was usually clean by 2 pm, but 3rd day we left early and didn't get back until 2:30 pm and rooms were not done. We waited about 3 hours in the lobby for our room to be ready. It's listed a brand new luxury, 5 star hotel with a $500 per night rate that is definitely NOT worth the price. Management did little to make up for our horrible stay at their "new" hotel. Susan the "hotel manager" needs a refresher course on how to handle the staff, cleints and their issues. Our room was beautiful but that's about it and definitely NOT worth $500 per night!! Brey, the night time front desk woman, was execeptional. She is definitely an asset to this hotel. The valet guys were also awesome! Thank you, Brey for...
