I have dined at approximately fifteen five guys in my life from NC, DC, FL, and in my home area in the tri cities of Virginia. I walked in and immediately noticed a gentleman staring at my daughters making them uncomfortable. We ordered and the cashier, Gary L did a fabulous job. He was friendly and aced the order. However, the manager/cook had 8-10 burgers off to the side on the grill because there was a steady flow of customers and I guess she wanted to not get behind? We got our cups and there was no ice! Both machines broke and no ice. Drinks were relatively cold so I did not complain much. Just got a “both machines aren’t working?” Like she did not know. I saw two to three tables in after and no mention of the ice being down, why? We got the food and there were no cups in the bags with fries. This is what they are known for right?? Huge portions of fries! Welp, not this location. Burgers did not have all the fixings on them that Gary repeated back correctly and was on the receipt. I spent $103.50 with my family for a $20 experience. Sad day and I won’t hold other locations accountable, but this manager was awful! Owning a restaurant, there is one thing you do, hold yourself to a higher standard and get things fixed! If you can’t, you find a way to make it work or at least notify customers of issues. This location needs to hit a...
Read moreHave never had bad good from five guys, however this day I took my grandfather there for his 1st time an I had told him after eating this burger you will never want one from anyother fast food places. Well what a HUGE disappointed 😢 we both got little burgers an a fry to share . He also had a banana strawberry milkshake. Unfortunately neither of us eat more than 2 bites of the burger😓 24 dollars an some change later the only thing that was even edible was the French fries... very sad that I beefed him up for such a disappointment.. the hamburger had a funky taste, maybe old or rotten meat? Not sure what it was but it all went to the trash including his shake 😢 I felt horrible after telling him how delicious the food was there. But he's handicap an a storm was coming so I went in ordered food an fixed it up for him to eat as I drove to try an get back to NN from Williamsburg so his electric wheelchair on back of his car didn't get to wet. I covered controller with plastic bags but I was already to far to turn around and go back to complain or ask what in the world was wrong with the hamburger meat.. and unfortunately with everything that was going on this particular day I never even called the store in Williamsburg that we had gone to . .usually five guys is...
Read moreAs burgers go, Five Guys makes extremely good ones. It's a chain, but it's a good chain. Toppings are free and they have grilled onions (without icky peppers) and separate mushrooms. You can get a bacon burger without cheese (I love that). There's a wide variety milkshakes. The soft drinks are self-serve using those every kind of pop imaginable machines. The fries are plentiful and when you ask for well-done, you get well-done. The floors at this location could use a good cleaning, tho. It's next to a movie theater which is nice. There are doors at both ends and the whole place is glass, so if you plan to eat in, bring a sweater in the winter or wear your coat, it's chilly. In the summer, it's sunny, a hat or sunglasses 😎 for the glare. As mid-range casual dining, less than $30 for 2, it's a decent meal for a date or an afternoon of shopping. If you're economical, get a regular burger cut in two and save half for later. A small fry feeds TWO. Large feeds four....
