Yum Yum Sushi and Boba — Restaurant in Williamsburg

This place is a gem !!! Found this place on a whim when having a taste for sushi but not wanting to spend so much money. What a beautiful , happy accident was running into this place. Sushi and boba in the same place, yes please!!! Was greeted so cheerfully when I walked in and the lady ( I will get her name next time) who took my order was just so kind, hospitable and helpful when going over the menu...In the end, I opted for the salmon roll and Matcha boba..

Now for the real real!!! Now when it comes to Boba, I generally stick to my regular flavors; Taro, Thai, Jasmine or Oolong so I didn't have any expectations for the Matcha.. but let me tell you, that was the best Matcha Boba tea I've ever had!!! size wise, and it was the perfect amount of sweetness.. already off to a great start. Now, when the salmon roll came, I was surprised at how big those pieces were. It was the most amazing salmon roll.. after the first bite. I was thinking about how I wish I would've gotten another sushi, but it was just the perfect amount for my appetite and it made for such a great light meal. This place is a 10 out of 10 for me!!!

Second time I've had it and it was incredible both times. I love the create your own bowl, however it is not cheap. But being that the portions are so big you get a couple meals out of it so it sorta makes up for the price and the ingredients are sooo fresh and amazing!! I am hooked and find myself craving it all the time now! Staff is friendly and helpful and the place is very clean. Highly recommend!

Edit; I got a few rolls in my last order and none of them came with pickled ginger, which is one of the best parts of eating a sushi roll for many people. Even the grocery store rolls come with pickled ginger, and also adding seaweed salad and whole grain brown rice as an option for everything would be amazing too, so thats my only...

Wow!! I can’t say enough wonderful words about yumyum! I stopped in for my first time and got the spicy tune roll and spicy salmon roll. The owners were incredibly welcoming and walked me through all the options on how to order, wraps/rolls/bowls. They gave me a boba tea sample, and while I was eating there both the husband and wife came to check on me. Super friendly! While I was eating, a little girl and her mom came in and wanted to try boba for the first time. The girl roughly 6, loved the boba and the owner gave the girl and her mom a heads up about boba and what to expect and to wait for the bubbles to eat so she didn’t get surprised or choke on them.
