Awesome seafood cooked perfectly! 🍤 I have taken my wife there twice, she ordered the same dish, shrimp and scallop pasta, and I am going there again to get a photo before she is licking the bowl clean! 😋 My dishes have been just as good! Great place for locals and tourists alike. Back again, wife got the 'same dish', still awesome seafood! Tried the desserts this time. You probably don't need to bother, nothing special....keylime pie had no taste, carrot cake was dry and icing stiff & tasteless. But if you like seafood, you are in the right place!!! 😛 A small bump in the road; Once again at my "Go-to" Seafood place, my son got Tuna (perfect), wife still has tried nothing but Shrimp & Scallop Pasta, and I tried the "Special", grilled Cobia. There was not enough lemon or sauce to make this Cobia palatable! 😝 Luckily our server noticed my dilemma (without me saying a word) and brought the owner (walks the floor along with manager) who quickly made things right! All I can say is WOW!!! 🤯 I would give Service 10 stars ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ if I could!!! Once again the wife ordered Shrimp and Scallop Pasta; who would have guessed?!? My Wedge Salad was good along with...... Back again, wife got Shrimp and Scallop Pasta, 🙄 and "yours truly" enjoyed the Broiled Seafood Platter, a "tried and true" option.
I wish I had read my review about service before leaving with a "less than optimal" experience! Easter holiday weekend and an early dinner (4:30) did not combine for a great meal. The scallop dinner was half great; the scallops and the broccoli 🥦 were spot-on, the baked potato 🥔 was horrible even for barely reheated leftovers and the corn muffins/hushpuppies were not fresh or hot! Just a suggestion; if the potatoes in the oven will not be ready until 5 or 5:30, put that notice in the menu! And it's nice to have a muffin or hushpuppy as an app (for free) but if it's not hot or fresh, what's the point 🤔!! So, take this critique for what it's worth, I didn't allow the manager to work his magic and make my meal exemplary 😔 as is the SOP! DON'T FORGET TO SAY SOMETHING!!! You'll be glad...
Read moreThe Best Seafood Experience of My Life – Fat Tuna Oyster House & Grill
If I could give more than five stars, I would — because Fat Tuna Oyster House and Grill isn’t just a restaurant… it’s a culinary destination. From the second I walked in, I felt like I was stepping into something special — but what unfolded was beyond anything I could’ve imagined.
Let’s start with the food: perfection from sea to plate.
The oysters — fresh, briny, shucked with care — set the tone. I’ve had oysters up and down the coasts, but none compare to these. Every bite tasted like the ocean — clean, cold, and delicious.
Then came the seafood platter — an absolute showstopper. Shrimp, scallops, crab cakes — each one cooked to perfection and bursting with flavor. Even the sides (yes, I’m praising the sides!) were flawless: buttery corn, crispy hush puppies, and coleslaw that struck the perfect balance of tangy and creamy.

🦪 Final Thoughts:
Fat Tuna isn’t just the best seafood in Williamsburg — it’s the best seafood I’ve ever had in my life. The atmosphere is fun and welcoming, the drinks are crisp and creative, and the food? Out of this world. If you’re anywhere near this place, go. Fat Tuna is a gift — and Chef Ken is the...
Read moreI would first like to say, this is not a knock on the food, bc the food was excellent!! However, I was vacationing with my family down in Williamsburg for Labor Day weekend and we decided to venture out for one nice family dinner together. Not many places were able and willing to accommodate a party of 15, last minute, except for Fat Tuna. For that, I am thankful, BUT, instead of being seated at one giant table altogether, we were split up at 2 different tables, with 2 different servers. The table I was seated at had Miranda as our server and she was FANTASTIC! Truly cannot say enough good things about her. Great service, funny, personable, gave great recommendations, and was very attentive. Our family at the other table however had Taha as their server and he was honestly terrible. He kept rushing my family through their meal, put boxes on the table before anyone even asked for them, and when my cousin said she was paying card he demanded the payment right then and there and said he needed it NOW. It was not a pleasant experience for them at all. When we got back to our resort we were staying at, the other members of our family told us what ensued so my mom called the restaurant to complain. She spoke with the manager named Rose who basically defended her awful server saying “yeah he can be aggressive sometimes, I apologize for that.” Ummmm how is that OKAY for a manager to be saying that to a paying customer about one of their employees?! Clearly he should not be employed in the environment and dealing with the public if that’s how he gets. Taha and Rose, DO BETTER!! Only giving 3 stars because of the delicious food and Miranda’s great service, otherwise due to Rose and Taha I would...
