LOKAL Bread — Restaurant in Williamsburg

Eric went out of his way to deliver the bread we ordered to our resort on short notice when I botched the pick-up/delivery concept. And he was kind enough to give us some focaccia as an extra for our road trip back home to Rochester, NY. So A+++ for customer service.

Now for the bread... O...M...G. If you appreciate clean food, real ingredients, nothing artificial--and the amazing flavors that can be created with them from a true artisan, then you absolutely must buy LOKAL bread. The sourdough and 7 grain were off the charts flavorful. And the aforementioned focaccia, just as good. Best of all, your body doesn't rebel afterwards as is so often the case with processed breads. It will be a sad day when the loaves are gone and we are left 500+ miles away :-(

Lokal was my favorite place to eat in Williamsburg and I miss it deeply. There is no other business in the area that pays so much attention to the provenance of the ingredients...and then makes such goodness with them.
