Did a quick Google search for things to do nearby and Crim Dell Bridge popped up. I thought it was going to be part of a public park or nature trail, but turns out it’s right in the middle of William & Mary’s campus. It felt a little awkward being a tourist while students zipped by on scooters heading to class! That said, the bridge itself was cute—especially all the padlocks left by couples to symbolize their everlasting love. I had a good laugh thinking how many of those couples are actually still together (probably not all, but hey, it's the thought that counts!). The bridge was built in 1966 for a student day celebration, which gives it some cool history. It’s definitely a nice little spot to snap a quick photo or sit down with a book, but not really a “destination” spot if you’re planning a family outing. Still, a quirky and charming little detour if you're already in the area.

This is a very cute little bridge near the William and Mary College that was built in 1966. There are a couple of seats for those that want to sit for a while and take in the nice scenery, but the area is a bit too small to do anything else. The little "love locks" on the bridge add a sweet touch. It is worth checking out if you happen to be in the area.

Cute little bridge on campus. Not much to say about it though rumor has it walking across with your loved one means you will forever be together/married. I don't believe in that, but the waters below it were so still the day I went, it reflected the sky so much, I couldn't take a picture of the turtles below.

I proposed to my boyfriend here while we were on vacation on 10/20/20 and he said yes! Was the perfect little quiet and peaceful spot in the middle of a large and busy campus for me to get down on one knee. We loved the legend behind the bridge regarding kissing for couples and I decided it was time to pop the...
