I recently booked a tour for my family and I (6 total) for July 21st, 2024 at 10pm for the Ultimate Dead of Night Haunted Tour. I also selected the options to add the additional locations as well as the EMF detector Rental. The meeting time was 9:50 at the Kimball Theatre with a leaving time of 10pm however we showed up a few minutes late. The tour had started at 10pm but they were still at the initial location of the Kimball Theatre and the tour guide, Jared, was a good sport about our late arrival. Another minor mishap, I had accidentally messed up the booking a little by not selecting the proper amount of participants for the extra tour extension but he had regrettably told us that 2 of the detectors weren’t working so he had said that the bill had settled itself out that way!!

When we started on the tour, it was quickly noted that Jared was very well informed of the locations, historically and supernaturally to give the participants of the tour a well rounded experience. Another noted thing was that he was age-accommodating too- a little joking and fun for the younger ones and lots of detail for the older participants so that everyone felt included. He was also very considerate of allowing time for photos to be taken at each location, if people stayed behind to take extra photos, as well as noting ahead of time if flash or no photos were to be taken at a certain location, he even pointed out best spots to get photos from previous guide and tour experiences! One thing that I really appreciated was that he didn’t lay on the topics too heavy. Meaning that, for those who may not believe fully (or at all) in the supernatural, it wasn’t like the tour was 100% about it, you could still enjoy the tour as well as if you were a 100% believer of the other side. On the same hand, he wasn’t overbearing with the history either, striking a wonderful balance for all involved making it a truly exceptional tour, these guides really set themselves apart from other Touring Agencies. At the conclusion of the tour, Jared would make small conversation with participating people, and he also was quick to give a direction back to where people may have parked or if they were searching another location after their tour. He also let us know of other haunted locations we might be interested in checking out, as well as other events to participate in during our stay in colonial Williamsburg. Overall, we had a great experience and we would definitely book again with this same touring agency knowing the experience we had from...

So we had a terrible ghost tour. Maybe we just had the wrong person (Catherine) on an off night (although the weather was beautiful)? It was easy to see we weren't the only ones with this opinion in the group. Parents bringing kids

My family and I had so much fun. Our tour guide was Adonis and they were absolutely amazing! Great storytelling, great stories, great jokes! They did a great job at keeping everyone engaged. They made the tour an extremely memorable experience and when we come back we hope to have them again.

That being said, I’ve had plenty of encounters, but never any proof and last night my husband and I had 2 experiences and picture by confirmation. 1st was the Peyton Randolph House. My husband (skeptic) immediately said he felt uncomfortable as we approached the house. As I was looking at the house, my eyes kept being drawn to the upper left window. It felt like I couldn’t stop looking at it even when trying to look elsewhere. I told my husband about it and asked him to take pictures. 5 mins later Adonis tells us that the most active and evil room is the room of the upper left window! It was a humid 80° and my chills were so bad I physically felt cold.

2nd experience was after the tour. We were walking back to our starting point chatting with Adonis and asking questions. Walking past the Bruton Parish Church, my husband stops and looks over the wall and says that he hears a low weeping sound, like a woman or a child. He kept talking about it all the way home and kept getting goosebumps.

Well we get back to our hotel and I start going through the pictures he had taken. Lo and behold my husband caught a picture of an apparition in the cemetery of that church. He had taken pictures over the wall while we were on the tour and sun was setting still. It’s there in one picture. Gone in the next.

He’s a...

Before we had kids my husband and I used to do tours like this all over the mid-Atlantic South (Wilmington, NC, Charleston, Savannah, etc). When we ended up in Williamsburg with built-in childcare (thanks, Mom!) we decide to do our first ghost tour in VA. We had the good fortune to be the only two people on a Friday night tour. There was a massive rain storm that ended with a drizzle as we were starting out. Our tour guide was engaging and enthusiastic despite the weather and lack of other customers. Truthfully the conditions made the tour even more fun on our end- the puddles and light mist made lights spooky and the vibe eerie, the deserted streets added to the creepy mood, and with a basically private tour we got to hear extra stories. Lacey, (Laci?) our tour guide, was both professional and fun. She shared a lot of "insider" stories with us while also providing historical education and of course, chilling stories. The extended tour was worth the extra price, especially since Lacey was able to speak about the bonus sites on the college campus from the perspective of a student. Maybe she made up personal stories she shared, maybe they were all true...either way it was a really fun date night and worth every penny!
