Eleva has changed the game for coffee in Williamsburg! This cafe is an absolute gem nestled in the heart of Merchant Square. From the moment my husband and I stepped through the doors, we were transported to a coffee haven that felt straight out of the bustling streets of NYC, DC, or the trendy corners of Southern California.
☕ What truly sets Eleva apart is their commitment to quality and sustainability. The farm-to-table model they embrace ensures that every sip of coffee supports farmers in Ethiopia, Guatemala, and Nicaragua, and it showcases the freshest flavors. Their in-house roasting takes the coffee experience to new heights, offering a richness and depth that's simply unparalleled.
☕ The ambiance is the perfect blend of modern chic and cozy charm. It's the kind of place where you can savor every sip, whether that's just to relax or work at your laptop. The pour-over coffee was an impressive experience that you can enjoy as a work of art, and the cold brew was smooth and refreshing, going perfectly with their homemade simple syrup. Nothing bitter or overly sugared. The prices were also surprisingly reasonable.
☕ But what truly elevated our experience was the exceptional customer service. "T" was an absolute delight! He made sure our order was up-to-par, and we felt truly taken care of as valued customers. We especially enjoyed our conversation with him and hearing about this family-owned business. You can say that the conversation flowed as smoothly as the coffee.
We are excited about Eleva's official grand opening at the end of the month, eager to indulge in their tapas and explore their second location when it opens in Newtown later this summer. I believe Eleva will be our go-to spot anytime we are in...
Read moreI was super excited to try out this coffee shop & had heard great things about it. Sadly my experience was much less than great due to the terrible and blatantly rude customer service. I came in and greeted my friend before ordering. She had ordered the London Fog & I decided to order the same after trying hers. After ordering, I waited about 20 minutes and did not see anyone making any drinks. No big deal if there was a miscommunication between the guy who took my order & the girl barista. however, the girl barista was talking eagerly to a friend/boyfriend the entire time. When I went up and kindly asked where my drink was she stated, “I brought it to you.” I let her know that my friend ordered the same & I had been waiting for over 20 minutes for my drink. She rolled her eyes at me and made my drink. When I went to pick it up, she made a small/medium but I paid $9 (I even had tipped) for the large so I informed her I ordered a large. She let out a loud grunt and fixed my order, placing it next to her when she finished. I walked back to her a minute later and asked if that was my drink and she again rolled her eyes at me. I later saw her kindly bringing orders to tables and being friendly towards customers, so I’m not sure why she needed to be so disrespectful to me when I wasn’t provided what I paid for especially as it was no fault of my own. Despite the extremely rude attitude towards me, the drink was tasty and the vibes of the shop were good, which is all I really care about when going to a new...
Read moreATTENTION TO THE EVELA’ MANAGEMENT! First of all, I wanted to mention that what I am writing below IS NOT a BARISTA’s fault but completely the management’s fault. I don’t know what happened in this lovely cafe, maybe problems with the workforce, but management left only one worker to do EVERYTHING in the cafe: take orders, make coffee, make food, etc. The poor barista was running like a squirrel in the wheel trying to do everything at one time. We were waiting 30 MINUTES FOR TWO COFFEES! It was the longest waiting time for coffee in my life. Once again, it was not the barista's fault—a nice girl with dark curly hair—she was forced to be distracted all the time from making coffee because of other people coming and making orders. One person SHOULD NOT DO ALL OPERATIONS in the cafe. That was our last day in Williamsburg, and because of this long wait in Eleva Cafe, we were really late for Busch Gardens and wasted a lot of time. I hope that the management of this cafe will take into consideration my complaint and will hire a couple more workers. As well, they should give a bonus to the barista. I cannot imagine her tiredness and frustration at the end of the day. Working like this is slavery and should be illegal. BTW, coffee and sweets were good, and the barista was sweet and polite, but the waiting time is...
