If I could give zero stars, I would. This McDonald’s is without question the worst in all of Williamsburg, and the issues go far beyond one bad day — it’s a consistent pattern of poor service, unprofessional behavior, and an alarming lack of accountability from management.
Last week, I experienced rude and dismissive staff who clearly had no interest in addressing customer concerns. A few days later, I asked for napkins with my order and was told, "We ain’t got none, that’s why you ain’t got any in your bag." That level of unprofessionalism is unacceptable at any establishment.
Today was the final straw. After sitting in the drive-thru line for over five minutes behind a van, I finally reached the pickup window and requested breakfast sauce. I was told they couldn’t give me any because it would "hold up the line" — despite there being no one behind me. The logic was baffling, and the attitude was worse.
I went inside to calmly speak with the General Manager to explain my frustrations and let her know that this kind of customer service reflects poorly on leadership. Rather than taking responsibility or even showing a hint of professionalism, she chose to make excuses and ultimately told me she wouldn’t serve me anymore simply because I told her that poor leadership results in poor service. That kind of reaction to constructive criticism is incredibly immature and unprofessional.
To make matters worse, I paid extra for bacon in my order and didn’t receive it. No apology, no offer to make it right.
Long wait times, dismissive employees, failure to deliver what I paid for, and a GM who can’t take feedback without retaliating — this location is a complete mess. Save yourself the headache and take your money elsewhere. There are plenty of better-run fast food options in Williamsburg that actually value...
Read moreFood was good and hot and the ladies cleaning when we came in at 9:00 pm were polite and engaged in conversation with us. Due to cost-saving measures McDonalds has done, there were not any employees at the register, forcing us to make out order on the ONLY working kiosk. Also, when you add your account to the kiosk, it won't let you use a deal because they are only serving breakfast at 9pm on a Tuesday??? In addition to that, the kiosk didnt even print a reciept. After placing the order it took 10 minutes just for someone to give us our cup. After asking a manager for assistance and not receiving it we just ordered food anyway without our deal. We were not the only ones to experience this issue, the people before and and after us also had this issue. After all this, it still took 25 minutes to make 4 double cheeseburgers, 10 nuggets and 2 large fries. They didn't even know what we got. We had to constantly remind them what we got Mcdonalds use to always be somewhere I can go at night to get good food and always reliably open. This is one location I will never visit ever again, and one I will reccomend noone to ever go again.
Edit: 24 hours later I recieved a call from Katrina, the assistant GM of the restaurant. She was very apologetic on the phone and emphasized that this behavior is not tolerated. She was very polite and said that the employees responsible would be repremanded. Edit 2: 14 hours after the call the owner of the store emailed me and expressed apologies and thanks...
Read moreHello fellow fast food enthusiasts. I write this review about my experience with the grimace shake. As you all may know grimace’s birthday shake was supposed to be a visible shade of purple and berry flavored. It was also supposed to come in a special cup that says “celebrate Grimace’s Birthday.” My experience with the shake consisted of NONE of those things. My experience with the Grimace shake started at a different McDonald’s which did not have the Grimace shake because their ice cream machine was broken. After waiting in line for 30 minutes and our $50 bill was falsely declined for being counterfeit, we got our fries and left, determined to find a McDonald’s that had the legendary shake. After calling four Mcdonald’s who said they did NOT have the shake, we found out that once they ran out of the shake they would not make more. We called even more of the restaurants and finally, the Mcdonald’s on Second Street assured us that “Yes, we do still have the Grimace Shake.” Filled with excitement and anticipation for the shake, we rushed over. Mind you we did not even expect the shake to be good, we just expected it to be purple, have a milkshake flavor that we hadn’t had, and hopefully be in the limited edition grimace cup. Not only was it not in the grimace cup, but it was also barely purple in color and tasted like vanilla. I figured they took the last of the grimace shake and mixed it with vanilla, or just colored the Vanilla purple. Long story short, Grimace would not...
