We have never been to this restaurant and decided to give it a try. We were greeted when we arrived and brought to our table. The waitress gave us very small glasses of water. I set my glass of water at the end of the table, but the waitress never refilled it until we mentioned it. When we were about to leave, the waitress brought the vacuum cleaner over. As we were leaving, she thanked us and immediately started vacuuming. It would have been nice if she waited until we left to start vacuuming. It makes it seem that we are an inconvenience, and cleaning up is more important than the customers. The food is overpriced on the menu. My son only got two chicken strips and side salad for his meal. My chili had no spices to it. I can get better chili at Erbert and Gerbert. Our salads were quite small. We can get bigger and better salads at Applebees. Overall we would not recommend this restaurant because of the expensive and poor quality food. We will not be back.

Fairly disappointed in the service and food. We walked in at 2:31, open until 4. At 2:36 we were told we could not get the soup and salad buffet because they were tearing it down for the day. My thought.... You're open for another hour and a half..... Ok so I asked about a few other things and unavailable because they were closing in an hour and a half. I know things have changed drastically post COVID, but really 90 minutes and it felt like we were inconvenient to the wait staff. My husband & myself are both over 55 for senior meals. We ordered off that menu: were charged non- senior prices for burnt hamburgers. Probably won't be back there and I'm pretty sure others feel the same way. If they're open in 2 years I'll be surprised but glad a business has survived.

5 Stars all around. Server was right there, then the drinks, and when we weren't ready to order she came back. She checked on us, took our plates. Food was very good, I got 2 eggs, toast and a side of bacon. I got 4 slices of bacon which is becoming uncommon. Bacon was really good, I could tell it had been cooked right then vs cooked this morning and sitting there. Wife got soup and salad bar. Chicken dumping soup was the real deal. And when she went back to get more banana bread you just know it was good.

We have been loyal patrons of McMillan’s Family Restaurant for over 30 years and unfortunately the service has changed drastically since the new owners took over. We don’t mind waiting to get seated because we often enjoy visiting with the other people that are also waiting. What we did mind, last Sunday, was the manager forgetting to put our name on the wait list. Then, once we were seated (after 45 minutes) it took an additional 15 minutes before the server took our drink order and then another 20 minutes before she came back and brought our drinks and took our order. It took almost 2 and a half hours to wait, be seated, and get our food. The servers seem stressed, undertrained, and at times, frustrated.

The back room is tight and we watched the servers sit down full trays of food on other people’s tables while they were eating so they could deliver food to waiting customers. There were also customers directing the servers to tables that hadn’t been helped. We didn’t get any waters and we gave up on getting refills on our beverages as we only saw our server three times total (one being to deliver our tab that was not split correctly).

Willmar has very limited places to eat that offer breakfast options. We hope Mcmillan’s can make some adjustments to their service and get back to offering a good dining experience. (Many of the patrons around us were extremely disappointed with the service.) Our family hopes you will be better and do better to serve the many loyal customers that come to dine McMillan’s...

Whatever meal you are looking for they have something wonderful to offer. They have breakfast, lunch and dinner. We have had breakfast and dinner here an both were wonderful. We had the shrimp dinner which included 18 shrimp on skewers, rice pilaf, a side of your choice of soup or salad. It was ordered to pick up at the restaurant because they don't have delivery. They do have dine in and follow the COVID-19 protocols. The restaurant is close to the local hotels and only 5 minutes away from most of the hotels. We live about 4 miles from them. The food smelled so good on the way home, we almost decided to stop the car and start eating. The portion of shrimp was very generous, the salads we ordered were large portions with carrots, cucumber and croutons and your choice of dressing. You may also order beverages for take out but we didn't do that since we would be eating at home. We would definitely order from this family restaurant again because the food was fabulous. It was still hot when we arrived home - the benefit of a living in a small town where all the best restaurants are only 5 minutes away. The take out menu is limited but with great choices and the dine in menu has other choices and specials. It's a wonderful place to have the most delicious meal ready in just 15 minutes for...

Terrible experience!!! We waited to be seated for 20 minutes even know there was at least half the tables open and several (5+) staff and we were the only ones waiting to be seated. Then we sit down and order, I had seen that their special was going with a buffet style meal with several options. Both my wife and I attempted to order it and were told that it had closed at 2pm, I look at my watch and it was literally 2:01pm... My wife ordered a meal that came with the salad bar. Right after ordering her meal my wife went up to the salad bar, she was told she could take a plate as they were gonna bring the food to the kitchen, they told her they'd bring options to the table, they didn't. A staff came and offered 3 desert items, lettuce and dressing. No other of the 20+ items on the salad bar were offered... Then I get my meal, the whiskey burger with bacon, they gave me less than half a tiny cup of whiskey sauce and the bacon was burned to a crisp and honestly felt like I was chewing on pretzels. Lastly they start vacuuming at 2:30pm when they were open till 3pm, another patron stated how rude it was also... Very sad for a once was good restaurant, I'll...
