Jerry Allen's Sports Bar and Grill Midtown at Katy's — Restaurant in Wilmington

I once lived close by and ate there quite often. The wings were some of the best in Wilmington this was three years ago, I don't know what happened but now the food is some of the worst in North Carolina, it's like they get their food from a totally different place. I've gave them three tries. First time back I got the wings, they were very hard and little, I thought ok maybe they had a bad day about 4 months later I got the chilli tater tots, The chilli was god awful and so hot they scalded my mouth actually put blisters on my lip. So a couple months later it was getting late My regular place was closed so I gave Jerry Allen's one last shot, I got the chilli tater tots again. The chilli just taste like pure garbage, There was hair several hairs in my food, I just kept my mouth shut because I knew better than to even stop after my last two experiences. I've talked to other people that used to dine here and they said the same thing. The wings have went downhill they're no longer a town favorite. I have no idea what's going on thier but it's beyond bad. The taste is so different it's like comparing apples to oranges. I don't know if I'll ever stop back in, I may for a can beer. But I doubt I ever eat here again unless it changes hands or some significant...

I went with my wife on a Friday night and it was pretty crowded with people from all age groups. The staff was very nice and we got our drink order quickly. Katy's is bigger than it looks with a whole outside seating area and the inside back area has 2 pool tables and a ping pong table. There are also a ton of TV's so it's great for watching sports. Karaoke started at 10pm and there was a long line of really good singers. Everyone there was so friendly and supportive of each other which made for a fun atmosphere. We ordered some late night French fries and they were really good. Being new to the area it was so great to meet such a welcoming group, we even exchanged numbers with a few people so we hopefully made some friends! We got wings and burgers. The wings were overcooked and very dry. Parts of the bone were breaking off in my girlfriends mouth. We called and told them and wanted our money back. Instead they cooked us another batch. I went to correct this, and the cook and the waitress both caught an attitude with me and got the manager to return the order. The manager was polite and voided my order. Then both the cook and the waitress went outside and proceeded to point at my girlfriend and yell and complain to other customers about us. A horrible...
